Objetivo 2: Localizaciones
Se refiere a la ubicación geográfica exacta de lugares concretos y comunes, la
cual se da mediante direcciones.
Para comprender de qué manera dar una dirección, debemos conocer las
preposiciones de lugar, las cuales nos indican donde está ubicado algo o alguien.
Entre estas preposiciones, podemos encontrar comúnmente:
 In, At: que significan en.
 On the left: a la izquierda.
 On the right: a la derecha.
 Above: arriba
 Below: debajo.
 In front of: en frente de, frente a.
 Next to: cerca de, próximo a.
 Between: entre.
 Near: cerca.
 On the corner of: en la esquina de.

Ex: los Ángeles is in the 3rd avenue= los Ángeles está en la 3ra avenida.
The Cairo Center mall is in front of the Junin square= el centro comercial Cairo
Center está en frente de la plaza Junín.
The Venezuela bank is between the 14th and 15th Street= el banco de
Venezuela está entre la calle 14 y 15.
Para preguntar la ubicación de un lugar específico, utilizaremos la pregunta:
Where is…?
Ex: Where is the The Nazareno Church? ¿Dónde está la iglesia El Nazareno?
The Nazareno Church is in the second avenue. La Iglesia El Nazareno está en la
segunda avenida.
O
It is in the second avenue. Está en la segunda avenida.
Nota: Podemos responder bien sea con el nombre del lugar, o con el pronombre
personal IT, que sustituye al mismo.
 Where is the bolívar square? ¿Dónde está la plaza bolívar?

It is in front of the goverment. Esta frente de la gobernación.

 Where is the Cecilia Mujica high school? ¿Dónde está el liceo Cecilia
Mujica?

It is near the Nazareno church. Esta cerca de la iglesia El Nazareno.
