Conclusions : We report the isolation or detection of
•
B. rochalimae de zorros rojos, mapaches y coyotes
de América del Norte, Europa y Medio Oriente.
•
Sequence analysis of 4 genes identified small variations in the B. rochalimae
isolates from these different geographic regions.
•
A relatively high percentage (26%) of raccoons had B. rochalimae bacteremia
compared with only 9.5% (2/21) coyotes.

discretamente elevadas o normales y microabscesos hepáticos .

•
Patients usually have unilateral involvement, with diminished
visual acuity, often associated with an afferent pupillary defect. (
•
Retinal findings may include hemorrhages, cotton spots and multiple
discrete lesions in the deep retina.
•
Some patients develop a starchy macular exudate ("macular star").
•
Macular stars are due to a vascular leak from the head of the optic nerve.
•
Exudates are seen overlying the macula, and some are radiating outward from the
foveal area. This is referred to as a macular star. The appearance is characteristic of
cat scratch disease with ocular involvement.
