Special Occasions & Corporate Events.
A short 15 to 20 minute drive from the Perth business centre will take you to the serene,
secluded Caversham House Estate. The drive through the arched, ancient olive tree
driveway guarded by life size hand carved sandstone Gargoyles creates an awe inspiring
feeling. Passing through the olive tree canopy and entering full sunlight you first encounter
the 1835 homestead which was converted to a reception centre in 1960. The area
beyond the house is veiled by trees and gardens. Venturing behind the wall of trees you
enter the lovely garden area surrounding the house. To the right is a traditional gazebo
set amongst the lawned area which is used for wedding ceremonies. On the opposite
side of the lawn is the elegant, permanent marquee and the lawn area is bordered
by a low limestone wall finished with sandstone balustrade, giving us a hint of what
is beyond the wall. Beyond the Marquee is a second lawned area leading to a colonnade
constructed with limestone and finished with balustrade.
To the right of the Marquee and the left of the Gazebo the limestone wall leads to
limestone pillars which mark the staircase entrances to the Hidden Gardens. As you
reach the top of the staircase you see the breath taking view of the majestic Hidden
Gardens and the Swan River. Another two large staircases join the middle and lower,
brick paved terraces and expose the view of the imposing four story high waterfall.
From the lower terrace you can walk down the grand staircase to the luscious green
lawn or walk along the terrace, below the waterfall and along the Jarrah walkway
to the large, private floating pontoon immersed in the Swan River. Looking back
towards the extensive limestone wall lined landscape; you realize the magnitude
of the gardens and admire the formal gardens gracing the banks between the
terraces. But for the large gum trees you could easily mistake this as a magnificent
European Renaissance Garden.

Public Holidays
Public Holidays will carry a surcharge of 20% on the total cost
of your function. New Years Eve and New Years Day will carry
a surcharge of 50%.
Property Damage
The client is financially responsible for any damage
sustained to Caversham House by the client or other persons
attending the function whether in the room reserved or any
area or part of Caversham House. Caversham House does not
take responsibility for the loss of or damage to any goods or
valuables in Caversham House rooms or grounds.

Packages
Ceremony Information
• Water, soft drinks and alcoholic beverage packages are
available for your guests after the ceremony but must be
pre-purchased. Eskies with water, soft drinks and alcoholic
refreshments can be arranged for the Bridal party and
immediate family during photo time. All of the above should
be pre-arranged 8 weeks prior to ceremony date.
• The confirmation of all detail relating to the wedding and
payment must be discussed 8 weeks prior to the wedding
and then finalised 3 weeks prior.
• There is a Caversham House golf buggy converted into
a four seater, which is available on request to transport
any elderly or disabled guests.
• Strictly no confetti or rice. If confetti or rice is used,
a cleaning surcharge of $200 will be forwarded to the client.
Fresh rose petals are permitted.
• A deposit of $500.00 is required to book
The Hidden Gardens.
• Before and during ceremonies, the gardens are closed off.
After the ceremony, the Hidden Gardens are then
re-opened to the guests of Caversham House.
• Bridal party arrival by chartered or private boat other
than the MV Karen Sue incurs a $350 docking fee.

beautiful historic boat in Western Australia has travelled the September to April
Swan River for 50 years. It has established it’s presence in
