14° BUENOS AIRES FESTIVAL INTERNACIONAL DE CINE INDEPENDIENTE

Por segundo año consecutivo, el BAFICI ha organizado las actividades de la Industry Office junto
con APIMA, la Asociación de Productores Independientes de Medios Audiovisuales. Esta colabora-
ción, tan fructífera en la edición anterior, nos ayuda a pensar conjuntamente los grandes temas de
discusión del cine argentino.
Esos grandes temas de discusión emergentes este año tienen como foco el problema de la distri-
bución de las películas más allá del radio (expandido) de la ciudad de Buenos Aires y el impacto
de la televisión digital. Ellos se suman a otros espacios de intercambio e información, como los
relacionados con los usos prácticos del BAFICI para un nuevo productor o director, el encuentro con
los representantes de festivales internacionales o la exposición de realizadores que presentan su
ópera prima y comparten esa experiencia.
El deseo es multiplicar las instancias de intercambio y acercar a aquellos que buscan nuevos modos
de seguir haciendo un cine libre, provocativo y con proyección local e internacional.

For the second year in a row, BAFICI has organized the activities of the Industry Office along with
APIMA, the Independent Audiovisual Media Producers Association. This collaboration, as fruitful as
last year’s, helps us to reflect together on the great subjects of discussion in Argentine cinema.
These great subjects of discussion emerging this year have its main focus on the problem of film
distribution beyond the boundaries of the city of Buenos Aires, as well as the impact of digital
television. These are added to other spaces of exchange and information, such as those related to
the practical uses of BAFICI for a new producer or director, the meeting with representatives from
international festivals or the account by filmmakers who present their first features and share their
experiences.
The aim is to multiply the instances of exchange and to approach those who keep searching for new
ways to keep making a cinema that is free, provocative and has local and international projection.

Workshop for analysis of film projects –today in its 13th edition– is one of its most
