I. Introduction.
A. Why do some people avoid the deep hole in the sidewalk, but others fall in again and again?
1
To what, then, are we to attribute a person’s success, or the lack thereof?
E. How would you explain the results you are getting right now, physically, financially, socially,
spiritually, etc.?
G. I would suggest to you that you have no idea of your true potential . . .
of what God has placed in you, of how good you really are, and what
is possible for you to accomplish in your life.
A. Throughout history all of the great leaders and philosophers have agreed on one point:
“A man becomes what he thinks about.”
1. Solomon said, “As a man thinks in his heart, so is he.” (Proverbs 23:7)
B. “Roadblocks” to success.
2
1. “90% of people wish positive, but think negative.” (Bob Proctor)
2. “We live in a universe filled with abundance, yet we focus on lack and
limitation.” (Paul Martinelli)
3. “You become what you think about most, but you also attract what you
think about most . . . Here’s the problem. Most people are thinking
about what they don’t want, and they’re wondering why it shows up
over and over again.” (John Assaraf)
A. We think in pictures. Think of your home, and a picture comes to your mind.
Think of your car. What color is it? Think of your pet. Is it a dog, a cat or a bird?
2. Your mind is an activity that takes place in every cell of your body.
b. Where it produces the thoughts that move us to take actions that bring results.
.
4. Without a picture of how the mind operates, there is a lack of clarity concerning the
most important process in which each one of us continuously engages: our thinking!
Solomon said, “Where there is no vision, the people perish.” (Proverbs 29:18)
3
5. We are indebted to Dr. Thurman Fleet, a holistic chiropractic physician from San
Antonio, Texas, for originating the first operating model of the mind that we call
the “StickMan.”
6. The balance of this teaching is dedicated to sharing with you the #1 most important
factor involved in your ability to be successful: the operation of your mind!
7. To release the “Ultimate Man” in each one of us, we must understand and apply
the lessons of the StickMan to our own thought patterns.
C. The StickMan.
1. The Mind.
d. 83% of the power of the mind is located here! (Mind Your Brain, Doug Bench)
f. Feelings are transmitted to the body as vibrations and carried out as actions.
4
D. Taking the StickMan to the next level of understanding:
the five physical senses.
3. “An educated person is not necessarily one who has an abundance of general or
specialized knowledge. An educated person is one who has so developed the faculties of
their mind that they may acquire anything they want, or its equivalent, without violating
the rights of others.” (Napoleon Hill)
4. It is through the development, use and exercise of these intellectual faculties that God
has given man the power to walk in dominion in the earth. (Genesis 1:26)
1. Perception is our point of view. It’s what causes us to see the glass ½ full or ½ empty.
2. Perception is governed by the Law of Polarity, which states that everything has an
opposite: Hot – Cold . . . Up – Down . . . Good – Bad. There is a positive and a negative
side to everything!
a.) Philippians 4:8 “Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things
are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever
things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if
there be any praise, think on these things.” (KJV)
b.) 1 Thessalonians 5:18 “No matter what happens, always be thankful, for this is
God's will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.” (NLT)
5
4. To change your results, shift your perception!
1. “Will” means our ability to concentrate . . . to hold one picture on the screen of our mind
to the exclusion of everything else. The will gives your mind extraordinary power!
Note: we are not talking about the forcing of our will upon another person. God gave us
dominion over everything on earth except over another person.
3. 2 Corinthians 3:18 “But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory
of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by
the Spirit of the Lord.” (NKJV)
2. “When your understanding grasps the power to visualize your heart’s desire and hold it
with your will, it attracts to you all things requisite to the fulfillment of that picture by the
harmonious vibrations of the law of attraction.” (Your Invisible Power, Genevieve Behrend)
3. Why don’t you start imagining that the Bible is really true! Because it is!!!
John 10:10 “ . . . I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it
more abundantly.” (KJV)
“Live in My Secret Place and there the feeling is one of full satisfaction. You are to
feel plenty. The storehouses of God are full to overflowing, but you must see this
in your mind. Be sure of this before you can realize it in material form. Think
thoughts of plenty.” (God Calling, October 15)
4. Discipline your mind to think and imagine positive, not negative. Avoid Job’s example
and the consequences he experienced as a result of imagining a negative outcome.
Job 3:25 “For the thing I greatly feared has come upon me, and what I dreaded has
happened to me.” (NKJV)
6
5. Reject all negative imaginations. They are not from God!
2 Corinthians 10:4-5 “(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty
through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) Casting down imaginations, and
every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into
captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;” (KJV)
1. God has given each person a perfect memory. Few, however, have developed it.
3. Exodus 17:14 “Then the LORD said to Moses, ‘Write about this battle in a book so
people will remember. And be sure to tell Joshua, because I will completely destroy the
Amalekites from the earth.’ ” (NCV)
4. John 14:26 “But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in
my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance,
whatsoever I have said unto you.” (KJV)
2. 1 Samuel 3:8 “And the LORD called Samuel again the third time. And he
arose and went to Eli, and said, Here am I; for thou didst call me. And Eli
perceived that the LORD had called the child.” (KJV)
1. Reason is our ability to think logically. It separates man from all the other creatures.
3. Isaiah 1:18 “Come now, and let us reason together, saith the
LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as
snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.”
(KJV)
7
V. Current Results vs. Ultimate Potential.
1. Conditioned habits, beliefs and paradigms stored in the sub-conscious mind that
are out of alignment with the Word of God.
E. “Suspend disbelief . . . Your skepticism, which you presume is based on rational thinking
and an objective assessment of factual data about yourself, is rooted in mental junk.
Your doubts are not the product of accurate thinking but habitual thinking.
Years ago you accepted flawed conclusions as correct, began to live your life as
if those warped ideas about your potential were true, and ceased the bold
experiment in living that brought you many breakthrough behaviors as a child.
Now it’s time for you to find that faith you had in yourself before.” (You Squared,
Price Pritchett)
F. “You are not who people say you are. You are who God says you are.” (Joel Osteen)
Continuing to meditate on lies and half-truths placed in your mind at an early age will
block you from achieving your destiny.
Each of us needs to go through a mental “de-tox” program to remove negative words and
affirmations spoken over us by others and by ourselves!

VI. The Path to Dominion.
A. God has given each man the power to change, but it is up to man to use the power!
B. Your ability to walk in dominion over the circumstances of life begins with your
understanding and development of the six intellectual faculties which govern what
the conscious or thinking mind passes on to the sub-conscious mind, for subsequent
action and execution by the body.
These six intellectual faculties are “mental muscles” which can be developed and
strengthened to the point where they will enable you to attract what you deeply desire,
without violating the rights of another person.
1. Ignorance.
2. Lack of awareness.
D. The power of the StickMan is that it provides knowledge of how the mind operates, and
awareness of what we can do to bring positive change to our results.
Understanding the StickMan has changed many lives by providing simple examples of how
the mind and its thought processes operate to the benefit or detriment of every human being.
E. Paradigms that were placed in the sub-conscious mind can be replaced. How?
Through repetition!
1. Psalm 1:1-3 “Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands
in the path of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful; but his delight is in the law of
the LORD, and in His law he meditates day and night. He shall be like a tree planted
by the rivers of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf also shall not
wither; and whatever he does shall prosper.” (NKJV)
2. Joshua 1:8-9 “This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall
meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written
in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good
success.” (NKJV)
9
F. Begin to see yourself and the operation of your own mind like you are the StickMan.
G. Now can you understand why Jesus said what He said in His first public
message?
Matthew 4:17 “From that time Jesus began to preach and to say, ‘Repent
( = change the way you think!!!), for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.’ ”
(NKJV)
H. “Our only limitations are those we set up in our own minds.” (Napoleon Hill)
VII. Close.
Who am I?
