¿Cuándo se usa el past simple?

Usamos el past simple para expresar que algo terminó o se completó, y que el periodo de
tiempo en el que ocurrió también ha concluido, en el past simple se marca claramente la
distancia entre aquel momento en que sucedió lo que se narra y el momento actual.
