DARK TEMPLAR
The Dark Templar are
powerful psionic warriors
whose ancestors resettled on
the planet Shakuras after they
were exiled from the Protoss
homeworld of Aiur for refusing
to join the emerging Khala, the
communal mind link shared by
the entire race. In place of the
Khala’s bright energies, the Dark Templar learned to
manipulate the darker powers of the Void, which gave
the Dark Templar the ability to become invisible at will.
Armed with their potent Warp Blades, the Dark
Templar are deadly and relentless foes capable of
devastating conventional forces. Now that Aiur has
fallen and its refugees have fled to Shakuras, the Dark
Templar have joined their considerable strength to the
Protoss’ numbers.

COUNTERMEASURES

Build Missile Turrets in key spots around your base. Assign an Orbital
Command to a Hotkey so you can quickly use its Scanner Sweep ability.
Ranged units are the most effective – use a mix of Marines, Reapers, and
Marauders to bring them down efficiently.
You can also use the Ghost’s EMP round on the area where the shimmering
figures are. The blast will render them visible for a few seconds, during
which you can dispatch them with Sniper rounds.
VS Zerg
VS Protoss
Build Observers and place a few Photon Cannons around key spots in your
base.
Deploy Immortals to soak up their damage through Hardened Shields and
have Stalkers to focus-fire them. Ranged units work best against Dark
Templars.

The BEST unit that protoss has you can totally whomp an entire zerg army with a few of them if they forgot an overseer. In one of my
recent games the guy went mass hydra and he woulda whomped me if he moved in but i got 2 dts in his base and killed him when he
finally did send the hydras in i had enough dts to make a wall so he couldn't get past and just lost all his hydras. lol that was hilarious
@JaceBeleren: Lets just hope nobody makes mistakes like destroy the detectors before send DTs after ranged units like to
many marines and thors especially due to if they get detected then DTs meet Khalas end so fast before they say I cannot
maintain.
@ThePreator: I agreed so as long they don't get detected and do not get in range of the enemies ranged weapons including
simple Marines and air units otherwise they will meet Khala's end if they fail.
@JetfirePrime: if the Dark Templar are completly upgraded in ground armor and weapons and shielding. as for the air units
will if you do not have any air attacking units then run away.

apparently dark templars are weak against 3 units that cant even attack it. what is wrong with blizzard

@masternoob: Agreed, DTs must be removed from the game. Or receive a minor damage nerf at the least.

Holy crap, I just realized DT's and Zealots have the same portrait animation.
A lot of people complain whenever this unit is used against them. Well it's not my fault they didn't have detectors.
@CombatWombat: Once someone starts building detectors they suck, but other than that they're pretty awesome
@CombatWombat: yes they are annoying if u have no scanners/detectors but can be very useful to sabotosh ur enemy
4-6 of these guys can snipe a command center, hive, or nexus before any vision can be built.
