ABOUT US:

K. L. E. Society’s College of Engineering and Technology was established

in the year 1979. The College is located in an ideal, congenial and industrial
environment on the outskirts of Belgaum city adjoining the Belgaum-Panjim
National Highway. It is recognized by A.I.C.T.E., New Delhi, and is affiliated to
Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgaum. The college is certified with
ISO 9001:2000.

As a part of its diversification and expansion plan the college has created
a Department of M.B.A which offers a two-year full time M.B.A programme,
recognized by A.I.C.T.E., New Delhi and is affiliated to Visvesvaraya
Technological University, Belgaum.

As a part of many of the innovative value addition programmes, it is

organizing Business plan competition to develop Entrepreneurial skills and
facilitate in converting their manufacturing or service business ideas into a reality.
ABOUT EVENT:

To encourage and develop entrepreneurial talent amongst MBA

students. It is conducting a Business plan Competition “Conquest 2010” on
28/10/2010

Conquest 2010 is designed to encourage entrepreneurship. Such a

contest brings into focus all of the resources available to a potential business and is
a catalyst in getting that business up and running.

Whether you go on to implement your business plan or not, your

experience will be an exciting, challenging and rewarding one. We look forward to
reading your business plans and hope that this contest will play a part in the
success of any entrepreneurial venture you may be involved with during your
career!

ELIGIBILITY:
 All students of Management institutes/colleges offering MBA/ PGDBM
programme are eligible to participate.

GUIDELINES FOR THE COMPETITION:

a) Each MBA institute/college shall be represented by only one team.

b) Each team shall comprise of 4 students.
c) The team will submit hard/soft copy of the Business Plan to the coordinator
of the event by 23 October 2010.
d) Each team will be given 20 minutes for the presentation followed by 10
minutes for question answer session.
e) Schedule for presentation will be decided by draw of lots before the
commencement of the competition.
f) Registration fees of Rs 1000/- per team is required to be paid by Demand
Draft in favour of “Principal, KLES College of Engineering and
Technology, Belgaum” by 23 October 2010.
g) The decision of the judges will be final and binding on all participants.
h) The projection facilities/ PC/Laptop will be provided.
i) If presentations need specific software, the participants must make necessary
arrangements.
