CANON LAUNCHES ITS NEW L200 – THE ENTRY-LEVEL LASER FAX

Canon is adding the new FAX L200 to its line up of affordable small-office fax machines. This
newcomer offers a number of practical features, including high transmission speed and sharp
600x600dpi laser prints.
The unit is instantly ready to go without warm-up, and its fast 14,400bps modem transmits a
standard page in six seconds. Delayed transmission of up to 20 faxes allows full advantage to be
taken of off-peak rates, while the convenient 24 one-touch speed dials and 100 coded speed dials
guarantee superb ease of operation. With its very compact design, the L200 has a handy 100-sheet
plain-paper tray, which is covered for protection from dust and dirt.
The U-paper path allows the paper to be printed out at the top of the machine, as opposed to the
market standard of front-end output. This unique feature is both convenient and time saving,
enabling correct-order collation of documents; it also makes the L200 even more compact, therefore
requiring significantly less installation space.
Dual Access ensures high efficiency, since new faxes can be scanned into memory even while the unit
is transmitting or receiving. Should the unit run out of toner or paper, its memory is sufficient for over
64 pages.
Maintenance and consumables are low-cost and user-friendly. The L200 takes an FX-3 toner cartridge
that not only contains enough toner for about 5,000 pages, but also contains all major expendable
components meaning that with each new cartridge the machine’s major working parts are renewed.
With Canon’s environmental-friendly recycling program, empty toner cartridges can be returned free
of charge. Customers can choose between returning the cartridges by mail, saving them up in
designated collection boxes or handing them over to their local dealer.
