From the very childhood (when I was ten or
twelve), I started writing, but it was not poetry;
my composition consisted of the short essays
both in Bengali and English for my class work. I
don’t know but somehow felt attracted towards
creative field. After a few years, I composed my
first poem in Bengali, but I could not mention it
to anybody but to my grandfather, who praised
my work and inspired me. Recently, I have
engaged myself in composing poems in English.
This book of mine (‘A Star in the Cloud’) has
already been published by I-Proclaim.com (an
imprint of Dorrance Publishing, U.K) this June
(in the last week). This book consists of thirty
poems on love and romance, and three or four
pieces have been published at e-stories.org (free
of royalty).
In fact, I am really grateful to e-stories.org for
they have first published my poems.
I strongly believe that writing comes from the
core of the heart; it expresses one’s feelings and
emotions best. Writing is the way through which
one can picturize one’s experiences- whether
bitter or pleasant. When one’s mind is heavy with
grief, feelings, and tragic events, writing may
soothe the troubled soul. Writing can best depict
the happiness of a cheerful mind.
Writing is my passion. I want to convey my
feelings to the readers through writing, which
can give accounts of an author like me best. I
want the readers know me from my literary work.
4
Hence I have not given here my bio
conventionally or typically.
It is my first book which has come into light.
If the readers accept my work, it will be the
greatest reward for me, and I will be encouraged
to compose more in future. I hope that the
readers will enjoy my work to a great extent,
rather they will feel it from the core of their
heart; they will identify themselves with the topic
and presentation of my book.
Thank you.

part of the heart, caring a fig for the youth and
social bondage.

cloud’. Even the imagination of true love gives
the mind peace and happiness.

.
(1) Color of Love
9
Soothes the heart
Gifted by the nature’s
Untrained and instinct ringing,
Which may stop the author
Imposed on new verse composing.
10
(2) My Heart’s Joy
11
O dear! do not go so hastily;
Make me cheer up
With your approach lovely.
(4) My Love
12
Just wait and see, my dear!
You are so close to my heart,
But you are too detached
To let me come near.
13
Smart and smoothly.
14
Giving direction towards
A new horizon
Of love, honor, and collaboration
Which might shower on us
The blessings of the Almighty
Full of peace and pity!
A bunch of Daisy
To your smiling heart,
That is always easy
To avoid the chart
Of discipline and bondage,
And going thus beyond coverage
Of this miser earth,
Whensoever you take the birth.
15
One day you met me, and asked my name;
I introduced myself to you and
From then started the game.
16
But I was then helpless like a dove,
And gave my consent to thy captivating
bee.
17
Come and see
Thy mad beloved
With your own eyes
Of the vicious sea.
Give to me
A passionate glance,
Like a gentle dew on the grass,
Which is a troubled soul’s key
To unlock its windows
Of depression and agony,
And to give a selfless love to thee.
O, my dear!
Please come and talk to me,
That I bind myself to thee
Like a root to a tree.
18
Give up the things cowardish
And be a man
To unfold your heart
For avoiding an escapist,
That you may love me
For ever and ever,
And never say ‘good-bye’,
For I reside in you
Like a blooming Lily,
That would be not a flower
For your decision silly.
O, my heart’s joy!
Keep thy hands to mine
And my hands to thine,
To give the long-cherished love
Of flower and honey,
That I may give to thee
The hours and days sunny.
19
Or the fascinating blue
Of the vast sky,
What shall I give to thee,
That you may have cheer and fun?
Is it the fragrance of
The new leaves of spring,
Decorated in their own green,
Or the red rose blooming-
What would make the effect lingering?
20
To go for the heart’s search?
I am confused,
What would be suitable-
The freshening rain, or
The heat of the summer;
The warmth of spring,
Or the dryness of winter,
What would make you twittering?
Undecided am I
Between the shy tears
And the heart’s unfolded confession
Of love and romance
To be thy life companion.
21
What to give to thee
To have the love-dew from you?
22
That you came
With a freshening view
Of faith and affection,
And made me new!
In the silence
Of your dark eyes,
I got the confession of
Thousand times as bees,
For giving me honey
With hours and days sunny!
23
Like a single drop of rain,
You quenched
The thirst of a swallow
Like me,
That was passing by the sea,
But could not drink
For the content salty.
Please, do not go
That I again feel lonely
In the thousands men’s row
Of hypocrisy and treachery.
At first slumber,
I got fixed to thee,
As the shadows numberless
Of myself to thy mirror,
With captivating spirit
Of unripe mangoes,
And the cucumber’s freshness
Took the flight,
Just right
To the corner of the temple,
24
Free from the pimples
Of this earth miser
To give the approach so late,
That is nothing,
But the irony of fate,
To which comfortable is nature
For a long time,
As if a crime
Could hide its name
In the brick’s wrapper-
Unfolded and unforeseen,
But let me be clean
That it is better
Than never
That I was stuck to thee,
And came by
The momentary wholeness
Despite the thousands of bars wavy,
Every time being envy
Of my happy lot
To be united to thee,
That only
For the sake of love,
Which you may not feel,
Though gives birth to
Silent thrills
And unpleasant journey.
25
(12) A Silly Game!
You called me
Again and again,
Like the unwanted rain
To make the moistured soil
Wet again,
Under the shallow pretension
Of friendly help,
To sprinkle the waiting drop
On the scalp
Of the sunburnt brain,
With cupid’s attack mild,
Proceeded by the childish shield.
You called me
Again and again
With some tricky excuse
To give me news
Of some portal convention,
But never gave me
The confession
26
That I always expect
To hear from you
With extreme sensation.
27
From the weeds unkind,
But the pats lingering
With the dew’s falling
On the grass
And the nightingale’s singing
On the branches,
Proceeding the union
Of the sky and the earth,
Falling at the horizon,
In joy and mirth.
The green
That mars the comfort
Of the stone
Provoked me to be prone
To love-making,
A bad dream earlier
Now seizing me closer
To my darling-
My long-cherished love
That I never expected
To come in my life
Like some heavenly pleasure,
Free from every pressure
Of this earth,
And I like to have this
28
Whenever I take the birth.
29
Breaking the convention
With thrills and sensation,
Free from bleeding,
And filled up with energy inspiring
To give up monotony
For mankind’s resurrection.
For my best,
I tried to evade
30
From the slumber,
But all went in vain,
With the ashes rest
Of the burning fuels,
Buried in my chest-
Just like the man of failure,
Every time sure
Of his unhappy lot,
Tried again and again
To uplift himself
From the drain
Of the blacky depression,
Still having its presence,
Proceeded by attempts numberless,
Knowing no recess
Of gratitude and knowledge
With several pledge
For spiritual and mercy-
Soundly conjugal;
But the stars hypocrite
With their presence lucky
Did not permit
To take the key
And unfold the windows,
Just to have the break
From the heathenic sorrows
With the freshening air innocent,
31
And the untouched fragrance
Of the smiling sun
To have the earth and sky united
And the flowers’ enchanting happiness
In the brain’s by-product
Of butters and honey-
So far from agony!
(16) A Complaint
32
And love me”-
Is your whispering,
Always bringing
Me closer to you,
Like the gradual happening
Of the moons full and new
In every fortnight,
As if the knight’s winning
The fort blooming
With the glowing hue
Of thrills
Those kill and go across
The hearts in thousands
Of bees murmuring
The words of love,
Loosing the nerve
At the first sight
Of the loved ones,
Longing for another glance,
Happening to by-chance
In some loneliest corner
Of the unearthy encounter!
33
That mars the romance
Between you and me,
As like, some evils go between
The river and the sea,
Remaining unthrilled and helpless
Can but see
The king of the sky
Giving consolation only;
I can not help but rely
On the hands unseen
To draw you closer to me-
Not for the happiness momentary,
But for love for good
In this universal wood
Of love and peace,
As the binding of
A root to a tree.
34
Entered into one soul-
Lovelier than the horizon,
And soothing like the champion
Of the stars and planets
Those guide and roll
Round this earth miser.
35
With touch of breeze mild,
The nature made us wild;
Love’s warmth brought us filed
In recognized melody, but unheard.
It is still a dream,
Stuck to me like cream
On the cake
Or the witty tornado
Always to shake
The leaves in green
With thrills and sensation
Of ever lasting
From the court to the wedding
In attitude serene,
And nostalgic flavor.
36
You came to me,
And I saw you
From a near distance,
Having a glance
At your eyes
Of black significance,
As if in expression
Of something uncanny,
And known for so long a day
With the captivating ray
Of the smiling sun,
That runs
Through the forests thousands,
And lacs of sands,
Speaking millions of words,
And singing billions of rhythms
In its own music
To awake the psychic,
Once being in deep sorrow,
And waiting still for the rainbow
For composing a soothing symphony.
37
Covering my heart and soul,
To remove the coal
Of agony and depression
By the silent touch
Of love and inspiration
To every side of
The heart’s chamber,
Filled in by cheerful numbers,
In gentle, caring way
To have the sway
Upon the careless monotony!
38
If you love me,
The lotus will get the key
To unfold the windows
Of pangs and agony.
Flavor would be
Added to the rose’s fragrance,
And the little child
39
Will come out of
The magic casements-
If you love me
With green of pea, and
Spread it on all my limbs-
Like the current of
The waves on the sea.
40
Will be jingling
In great joy,
Bidding good-bye
To the approach coy
With no mingling
Of sorrow,
But to give a bow
To my dearest darling
With mind free,
And thoughts happy.
41
I decided
To go to you.
In pinkish cotton,
With milky ribbon,
I stepped to see you,
And saw myself
In your cottage beautiful,
Crowded with five pairs
Of swans in the pond
Under the pool,
Knowing no rules
Or bounds,
Only making sounds
Of love and care,
And promising to part never
From each other,
42
But to live with companion
Side by side for ever.
43
The mild breeze
Was blowing;
The evening was approaching,
And you had prepared
Our favorites vegetable chowmin
And panir-butter masala delicious,
With love’s wrapper gorgeous,
Of which certainly
The universe would be envious.
44
Of earthy,
But the part divine
With oak, maple, and pine
In the flow of Tista, Bips, and Rhine
For little care of
The world’s riddle,
But in the path middle
To get me free and shine.
I feel you
In the flood of my veins,
Freshening me every moments,
Just like
The melody in the rains.
I see you
In the ups and downs
Of my eyes
With shy glittering,
And words murmuring
In shadows numberless,
Playing chess
With its excellence.
I feel you
In every rhythm
Of the music I sing,
45
And compose
In great repose
For the life charming
And smiling.
I feel you
In all the movements
Of my limbs,
Dancing in the melodious beats
For the soul’s happiness,
And going far beyond the race,
Within your heart’s casements.
46
When you touch me,
Thunder forgets its roaring;
Lightning is beyond its glittering,
And fountain is free
From flowing,
But only the earth is
In its rolling
Round the sun,
As we move round each other
With gesture and fun.
47
Go on the zenith
With magnificence.
48
So long being element disturbing
To tear off every event charming
Into blushful hypocrisy.
49
Of life-long duplicacy.”
I looked at you
With the world’s wonder
That kept me surrender
To your attitude determined,
Being combined
With gentle, caring childishness
Of promising happiness
In sky-touching supremacy.
50
Of the classic
But the sensation romantic
With words not spoken,
Like the treasures sunken-
In the depth of the sea,
Trying to come out free
To see
The festive mood upcoming,
Knowing no bounds of
The innocent pleasure
That needs
Neither help nor search
Of the wanderer;
Just like that,
You have had an entry
Of the thoughts carefree
From the world’s nuisance,
For the swift betterment,
With no rules to bind,
But the heavenly priest to find
The union of me with thee,
Creating the new horizon
For companionship healthy.
51
Do not cover your face with clouds
That my beloved’s face
Is no more found,
And I go round and round
Being in sorrow profound,
And strictly bound
To a pedestal-
Worldly unseen.
O, my fairy in white!
Let feel my love
In thy gentle light,
Freshening every sight
Of my eye’s flight,
To every right
For the awakened night.
52
O, the mirror of love!
Do not make me
Loose my nerve
By detaching me
From your sweet curve,
Identifying love’s smile,
And giving me the pile
Of grief in my life,
Spending seconds, minutes, and hours-
Folded in poisonous flowers,
Instead, give me the
Nights and days superb
Of youthful harmony
With my lovee.
53
Against the old fight,
To be or not to be
Of love’s existence
In the human significance
With mercenary excellence,
For repairing the behavior rude,
And going beyond
The self-attitude;
United into one body and
One soul-
Not far from the pole
Of love and care,
But heard no more-
Only the effect
Shakes the heart’s core,
With the brain’s disturbed thoughts
That caught the eyes
In rewinding floor.
54
I am lost in you,
And go far beyond
The clock’s tik tik,
As the clouds float in the sky,
And go far beyond
Man’s reach,
Being the champion
Of great peace-
In rare piece,
With author’s opinion,
For the beloved shy,
Saying only “ Hi!”,
Giving none the expression
Of love’s oblivion.
55
You are the blacky sky,
And you are my new moon;
You are the guide
In my dusty path-
Please meet me soon.
56
Birds fly in the sky,
And restless becomes my mind;
Gently flows the north wind,
With reason nobody to find.
I see you
In the floating clouds,
And feel lonely
In the thousands of crowds.
57
For replacing the soul bleeding
With the garden flowery,
In ever-sparkling dew.
58
Deeply rooted with great care
That none attempts to enter here.
59
In my life’s every sphere-
With all its riddles and care,
To make me up in cheer
In love’s screen-saver!
I am not so bold
Like the thundering,
Having its appearance unifold,
And the attitude challenging.
60
But I can never speak
Those words of love to you,
And but loose my nerve in me,
And wait for you only
To let the soft corner
Come out of its cruel disguise.
