seminar, will be held on Feb. 21, at 7PM in the Terrace Room. This popular class will cover the
basics of fishing for bass at Lake Monticello. Veteran angler and Lake resident Paul St. Clair will
talk about the fish species that inhabit our lakes and ponds, their feeding habits, baits to use,
winning fishing techniques and tackle requirements. For more information about the seminar, call 589-8158 or 540-333-

enjoyment for anglers and nature lovers of any age or limitation. Send your check, made out to LMOA, to Bo’s Pier Group, 265

Employment Opportunities: LMOA is accepting applications for lifeguards, swim instructors, assistant managers and front
desk staff for the 2011 pool season. American Red Cross Certificate required. Employment applications available at the Clubhouse and

at 906-0029.
Acres Pond Construction Underway: As a result of the blow out and loss of water at the Acres pond last year, work has
begun to repair and upgrade the related structures, as follows: Add a new corrugated metal slip lining to the 83’ horizontal outfall
pipe/sluiceway, reducing the pipe interior diameter from 48” to 42”; replace the riser structure with a square, reinforced concrete
structure on a 6” reinforced concrete base. A new trash rack will be placed on top of the new riser. The sluiceway will be joined to the
riser structure with a water-tight junction. The contractor is responsible for directing the water that will routinely enter the pond during
the construction process so there will be no damage or flooding downstream or siltation due to outflow. Silt fencing is being used to
prevent erosion. The contractor is responsible for clean up and replanting any bare soil surfaces. The work is scheduled for completion
by April 15.
