The Pre-Nicene Ekklesia grew out of the Pre-Nicene Catholic Church formed in 1953 by the late Richard, Duc
de Palatine. At that time it was restored (or reinstated) to teach the ancient Gnosis and the name, Pre-Nicene
Catholic Church, was to indicate that its teachings and practices, after much research, were based upon the
Chrestian Church as it was functioning in the days of Jeshu. The successor has also updated his own
researches from his own line of spiritual connections from these older sources.

The Pre-Nicene Ekklesia is mainly Gnostic in Doctrine. Gnosis being the Divine Wisdom that was the system
that produced the great teachers from the beginning of time: great teachers like, Jeshu (or Jesus), the Buddha,
Moses, and before him Melchizedek. The writings of St Paul in the New Testament reveal that he too
understood the True Gnosis as he frequently uses the word Gnosis in his many Epistles, and is the Greek word
used to denote the knowledge of the things that are. This was the basis of the in-depth teaching of Jeshu who
taught the Mysteries of Jesus.

By Gnostic we are not referring to the material that is falsely ascribed to Gnosticism, for the pure Gnosis is as
far removed from Gnosticism as is Christ from Christianity as understood and practiced today. Because this
teaching is the deep and mystical side of the teaching which was given to the Apostles in private, as opposed
to that which was given to the public, these mysteries have been ridiculed and misunderstood by the clergy of
the established church which owes its heritage to the Roman Church founded during the fourth century AD.
The true Gnosis refers to the process that evolves from within – being doers and not hearers only. A person
still on an ego-trip cannot truly understand what the gnosis is about, and therefore continues in his or her self
illusory state.

The Apostolic Succession through from the Gnostic Doctors of the Early Church have been preserved for us
by Richard, Duc de Palatine, thus giving authority within the valid orders of Succession from the early church.
Also, because of the universality of the Church’s teaching, echoes of the pure gnosis and the hermetic
heritage, will be found in the liturgy. These so-called successions have been invented and reinvented, crossed
and manipulated and in this day the claims to such successions is like a school boy swapping conkers, and
possess no spiritual value.

There is now ample evidence being presented by scholars following the discovery of ancient texts, to indicate
that the teaching and practices of the first churches were entirely different from that which is taught today.
The mystical side of the teachings of Jesus have been ignored, and the presently held dogmas are seen to bear
no reality, or relationship to the deeper aspects of life itself, and offering no authoritative voice to address the
causes for human failure and unhappiness.

The true teachings are based upon a much older tradition than that which is taught by today’s Christian
Church. In the New Testament it can be found that Jesus never claimed to teach anything new, but rather he
gave a new revelation, or a new look, to the prevalent teachings of that time. He also privately instructed his
personal disciples in the ancient disciplines, hence the word disciple, which had been preserved from the
ancient Patriarchs, the wisdom of their fathers. This wisdom included the valued knowledge from Egypt,
Persia, Greece, and from the Far East, as well as the scientific knowledge preserved in the library at
Alexandria. These wise men exchanged information, as do brothers in a perfectly balanced society, and there
was no such thing as disputes about dogma and heresy, everyone’s ideas were respected and discussed
because it was recognised that behind all things there exists an enduring Truth which can never be changed –
only sought out and understood. It is this undying Truth which is the real quest of every disciple of life’s
deeper secrets.

There are facts about the timelessness of these teachings that can be proved by willing researchers of
knowledge. For example, it is said that some of the words of invitation uttered at the commencement of the
Christian Eucharist, and attributed to Jesus, can be found inscribed over the door of the Temple of Isis in
Egypt, that in turn were from a much older source. The teachings of Christianity at large today were
represented in ancient Egypt by the Purification, Death and Resurrection and Ascension. These doctrines are
the true and ancient experiences of the mystic priest of the mysteries, and all other pathways away from this
ethos are really the inventions of the human mind.

The continued dispute over the facts recorded about Jesus in the New Testament should make the thinking
person look again at the records to discover what it really being said in the Scriptures. Records apart from the
Christian Bible state that Jeshu’s (Jesus of the Gospels) mother Miriam (or Mary) was a member of the Man-
dean sect or followers of John the Baptist. Jeshu received initiation into the Mandean sect by his baptism and
the laying on of hands by John. The term ‘Mandean’ means ‘gnostic’ or those who follow the inner gnosis or
the truth from within - ‘The Truth is within you’, as Jesus taught. The androgynous syzergy of Jesua is Maria
or Miriam Magdelene - thus the monogram for the Christ in Celtic terminology is Jesu/Maria (from the
Greek).

Thus, the teachings and practices of the Pre-Nicene Ekklesia are based upon the Wisdom of the Ages, and
claimed by some to have come from the Angelic Realms themselves. No restrictions are placed upon entry to
the Ekklesia and women are admitted to the Priesthood on an equal footing. The hierarchy of the church itself
bases much of the misunderstanding about and reasons for a male priesthood upon misinformation to the
people. Within the Aramaic language, the language Jesus would have spoken and of the original gospels, the
word Apostle means one who is sent. Nothing more, nothing less. Therefore when Mary Magdalene was sent
by Jesus to inform his disciples of the resurrection, she automatically became his apostle – this then negates
the idea that only men were apostles. It can also be gleaned from the New Testament that Deacons, both men
and women, were working within the early church. In 1996 the Roman Catholic Church admitted that Mary
Magdelene had been mis-represented in the reading and interpretation of the scriptures. She should now be
regarded as the Apostle of the apostles for she continued to teach those who had not really understood the
teachings of the Master. Men and women have equal rights within the Ekklesia.

Because, since the Church Council of Nicea of 325 AD, the true Doctrines, Universal Truth taught by the
Christ and those before him, have been clouded over by the organised church which has the monopoly today,
especially for political and power reasons, the inner doctrines wherein the real spiritual power lies, have been
lost to the many. The inner meanings of the parables and scriptures went underground for protection from the
persecuting Christian Church during the Middle Ages to preserve them. These inner teachings found their way
into the Secret Brotherhoods subsequently formed to preserve and protect them from ultimate destruction by
those powerful bodies who sought to destroy all that would not bow to their bidding: the consequences of not
complying being death by torture or imprisonment for life.

The Pre-Nicene Ekklesia, then, does not follow the dogmas of the established Christian Churches, but teaches
the doctrines that were in existence during the period of the early church, and have been passed down through
the esoteric schools for the preservation of the rubrics relating to the correct procedures for spiritual initiation.
Each disciple has to work out his or her own salvation by applying the teaching to their everyday lives, for sal-
vation is not through the belief in a certain Jesus dying on the cross to save humanity from its sins. This truth
must be clear to each person so that they may benefit from the teaching of our ancient church.

Objectives

The Objectives of the Ekklesia are:

* To restore that which has been withheld from the true disciples of Christ.

* To restore the teachings which enable those who feel that they have been called to help by the
power of Divine Healing.

* To teach the mysteries of the Spiritual Cosmos as it concurs with the Cosmic Christ. The truth
about Natural Laws – The Law of Cause and Effect as expressed by Jesus, “…with what measure
ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.”

* To teach the Truth of Eternal Life, and the Way of Right Thinking, Right Action and Right Living
which is the Way for true happiness and a fulfilled Life.

* To encourage the study of life, and independent investigation into all aspects of Divine
Knowledge, free from political and religious dogma.

The Sacraments

The Pre-Nicene Ekklesia has seven sacraments as follows: Baptism, Confirmation, Eucharist, Penance,
Extreme Unction, Holy Orders Marriage.

Holy Orders are offered to men and women alike and candidates for the Priesthood will proceed through a
course of study, to fulfil the various orders within the priesthood which comprise:

Minor Orders: Cleric, Doorkeeper, Reader, Healer and Acolyte.

Major Orders: Sub-Deacon, Deacon, Priest and Bishop.

These orders are not automatically acquired, but have to be worked through.

The Teaching

The True Gnosis has always been a system of inner awakening, of liberation from worldly beliefs and
hypotheses, and does not conform to the dogmas of the organised religions, which unfortunately, many of the
so-called Gnostic groups do today. Actually the true gnosis, epignosis, is neither a system or teaching – it is
the understanding of the spiritual principles that rule everything, it is not even a group or church, and this is
worked through the Disciplina Arcani – the ancient inner discipline practiced by every genuine mystic of any
ethos. What is needed to achieve liberation, or salvation from worldly conditions, is a renunciation of the
“ways of the world” as St Paul puts it. This statement has been hotly disputed by many Christians as they
would like to believe that the world isn’t so bad. From the point of view of nature, it is beautiful and we
would agree. It is the ways of mankind within the world that needs to be disputed and to discover how man is
the cause of his own unhappiness, discord and disease. In the study of the Gnosis we discover that there is a
way of living that helps to free us from most of the ills of humanity, and that most of humanity’s troubles are
self-generated. By following the Way, the Truth and the Life according to the teachings of the great teachers,
in the West, Jesus, and without placing our own interpretations upon them, we find they are the only way to
freedom.

A form of self-discipline needs to be followed to enable one to discover the fruits of the spirit. Over the
centuries, this discipline has been known by the mystics as the Disciplina Arcani, or Discipline of the Secret,
and there are still extant sources where proof of this can be discovered. This Discipline demands of us a total
commitment to the discovery of Cosmic Truth that is the knowledge of the universe and man. We need to
accept that whatever we discover to be true we must abide by that discovery under every circumstance. The
coming into the realisation of True Knowledge helps us to overcome all our problems by following that which
is basically true of all life free from dogma, opinion and hypothesis, and is totally pure.

That which is the Truth of Everything is known by the many as God, and we find that this God does not
commit us to any man-made, i.e. invented, philosophy. As St Paul says in his Epistle to the Colossians,
chapter 2, verse 8: “Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of
men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.” The word ‘Christ’ does not refer to a man in time,
a man called Jesus, but refers to the Cosmic Archetype of Love and Wisdom which is the essence and
substance of all life manifest and unmanifest, and proceeds from the First Cause we know as the Creator of
everything, and is, in very truth, the First Cause Itself.

When such truth becomes crystallised into man-made dogmas, i.e. teachings which one has to accept at the
hands of men, and not after the truth, it becomes impotent as a way of life and freedom from human opinions,
to which many believe they have a right, and stagnates into a means whereby one might accept anything as a
‘human right’. The question then becomes one of “What is a human right?” and this is generally accepted to
mean that one has the freedom to ‘go to hell’ should one so wish. This idea is perfectly in order for the masses
of people, but, as we have been warned, their ways are not necessarily of any real help to humanity as a whole,
and this attitude can bring countless suffering to many.

For those who can see that many of the things which humans do causes suffering, it behoves them to take
steps, for their own liberation, to free themselves from such damaging actions. There is a way, and real
answers to human suffering, which are in the main avoided and ‘shoved under the carpet’ as it were, because
this kind of teaching makes demands which would destroy a wayward life style totally devoid of any guidance
on matters which ask for equality in human resources and eventual growth to maturity.

If we still desire to follow the Mysteries of Jesus we can find many examples leading to advancement and
maturity, for example in the Epistle to the Hebrews, chapter 6, we find that it clearly states, “Therefore leaving
the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on to perfection; not laying again the foundation of
repentance from dead works, and of faith towards God. … Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of
hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgement….” This means that we must always be
prepared to go on to discover deeper meanings to that which we have received. The possibility of this is
indicated in the New Testament where it states that Jesus gave one teaching to the people, and another to his
disciples. This information is not liked by many Church-goers for they say they have the whole mystery in
Jesus Christ – well so they have, but do they understand the Mystery? Also, if Jesus’ teaching was given in
secret, how are people to know what it was?

Many Christians use the excuse of human weakness to avoid changing their views on things; but if we study
the New Testament further we can find such statements as: “In him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead
bodily,” and “Ye are complete in him,” so where can the excuse of human weakness come in for those who
profess to follow the teachings? Week by week they ask for forgiveness of their sins, and week by week this
process is repeated: are they never going to be free? “Now is this prophecy fulfilled in your ears” is the key to
finding the Way, Truth and Life, the true Jesus, which provides for all our spiritual needs. What we really
need to do is to accept that which can be found to be True, as apart from that which appears to be true to the
human mind.

Many people today are asking, just as they asked Jesus, “What can we do to be saved?” He spent much time
trying to describe the Way to them - some understood, and some doubted. It is the same today, there are those
who doubt themselves, never minding that which could free them. Also, because the Church attributed to
following Him, have mislead the people by their dishonesty, or ignorance, there are those who now despise
anything which they consider to be ‘churchy’. This attitude deprives these people of the discovery that there
is an ongoing natural truth which was taught by Jesus, and has been preserved from those who would stain it
with their own interpretations, mainly for their own ends, and is available for those who in all sincerity feel the
necessity to follow it.

This teaching refers to that which is known as the gnosis of the soul, or that which remains true in spite of all
means to dispute it. This Truth also answers, in a more positive way, the attitude taken by the fundamentalists
of most organised religions that their way of believing truth is the only right one. In the main, their way is
based upon the superstition that Truth is given only to them, whereas the answers to life as it is to be found,
under guidance, within man himself. Man is the key to his own salvation – he lives by his own laws to rise or
fall. However, if he lives according to the way things are and not according to his own idea of things, he well
discover most of the answers to the problems he comes up against.

Since the work of the gnosis takes place within the heart and mind of the disciple it takes some time before
observable changes take place. These changes become manifest in a new awareness of the world around us.
We feel more at peace with ourselves, and do not react to the many distractions around us in the outer world.
We begin to see clearly the great divide between the Real and Unreal situations which confront us daily, and,
because of our new found philosophy, find ourselves more ready to cope with the tasks which lie before us.

Thus the teachings of the Pre-Nicene Ekklesia are based upon the enlightenment of the Human Soul in order
to bring about a transaction between the human and the Divine worlds.

As St Paul in his letter to the Philippians, chapter 4, verse 8 says: “Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are
true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever
things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise,
think on these things.”

We have given the results of our up to date associations of our Ekklesia for reference and guide to our
members. We have also given our complete style and titles in order to clarify the reasons for such information
to be given at this time in the spiritual evolution of those associated with the Ekklesia.

Let us now begin with a number of facts that appertain to true spiritual training. Since the beginning of time,
and before man appeared on the planet man’s destiny was already built into substance, nature and qualities of
the planetary system itself. The ancient people understood this, and through time, speculation, man’s acquired
greed and egotism the mysteries of our origins became clouded from his consciousness, and now mankind
lives in an atmosphere of greed, war and scientific supposition.

The Guardians of humanity, also responsible for the mentoring of chosen individuals, have now decided to act
differently with relationship to the evolvement of mankind. Whereas, up to now man was carefully protected
from his own ignorance, but now he is being allowed to discover, for himself, that he is slowly destroying his
own soul – or mental balance. Mankind will not find it easy to admit his own mistakes because his egotistic
nature tends to prevent him from being receptive to his own inner promptings.

However, let us continue – through the untiring work of ourself we have now succeeded in unifying our work
with that of the inner oriental schools – thus giving us unison with conclaves of east and west. From the
Andes across to the Himalayas, and focused here in London, a connection has recently been established in the
inner, or unseen by physical senses, levels so that we now have access to the Genuine Universal Truths as they
have been taught from the dim mists of time to mankind as a whole. The Guardians or Protectors of the
Dharma or True Gnosis is being taught by the head of our Ekklesia, and we have arrived at a new dimension
for the members.

The Inner Temple, for want of a better description, informs us that at Source there is only ONE TRUTH, and
this is broken by man for man, the Eucharistic enactment. In this century the work of the theologians,
archaeologists and anthropologists have been able to prove that most of the information that is circulated today
is founded upon supposition and not fact – hence all the different churches, orders and groups that have been
assembled over the years have no true foundation in their claims. Several of today’s orders and groups such as
the Free Churches, Freemasons, Rosicrucians, Martinists etc have only existed since the renaissance period,
and only came into being in order to provide places where people might be able to discover information
outside of the existing status quo. Those claiming links with the ancient schools must realize that such groups
as we have now did not exist with the ancient cultures, and exists only in the minds of those who invented
them.

There have been secluded schools of true mystics on this planet since the ‘beginnings’ of life, and we learned
from them that the majority of mankind dwells in a world of its own making including its religions and
spiritual groups. Our work is to discover the REALITY OF BEING. When we have discovered the reality
and nature of things we can change our world into one of true community and peace – not with guns and
threats, but a real, deep and consuming reality of life. Numerous churches, orders and groups cannot help this
process if their teachings are not based upon the truth of life as it IS, and this is the ‘tricky’ question for
mankind will quibble, and fight to defend his own beliefs and standards not understanding that the truth about
life that does not work out according to man’s beliefs - only according to realities. All our politics, religion
and laws are built upon speculation and not upon the Divine Guidance from within. It is because we have
closed our inner door to the reality of being that we must now begin to open our inner connections before we
can even expect any powerful changes on the planet.

Since the Pre Nicene Ekklesia is another formed group we, the head, is going to continue our links within this
group because it is already set up, and actually continues to teach the true gnosis or universal truth – which we
have attempted to do since it was brought into being some time after working on and off with the church that
was its predecessor In truth – since the passing of Richard, Duc de Palatine we have supplemented the former
or basic teachings with a new and updated approach wherein the requirements of the status quo churches
standards of Apostolic Successions etc are no longer relevant.

Manly P. Hall wrote in his work, “Freemasonry of the Ancient Egyptians”:-

“European culture, thwarted by the Dark Ages, languished in the Patristic dungeons, to be freed artistically by
the Renaisance and religiously by the Reformation. It was not until the eighteenth century of the Christian era,
however, that thought, freed from bondage to sophistry and pedantics, reorganized and acknowledged the
indebtedness that each generation owes its antiquity. Eighteenth century savants sought valiantly, in the ruin
of time the battered monuments half buried in Egyptian sand for the lost keys to the sacred sciences. Only
scholarship can rebuild and rededicate the ruined and desecrated shrines of the Old Wisdom.

Dimly perceptible in the subtle hints of classical writers, arcanely intimated in symbol and fable, and thinly
veiled by the great institutions of classical philosophy. The Secret Doctrine may yet be recovered to enrich
and complete the material knowledge which is the boasted power of modern men.

The fable of Isis and Osiris to the earlier period old Egyptian metaphysical speculation. The myth of the
Dying God recurs in most of the great World Religions. The life, death, and resurrection of the
immortal-mortal have become the prototype for numerous doctrines of human regeneration”.

Mankind must once again return to its roots, and work with nature and be not too pre-occupied with making
money, exploiting others, erasing primitive peoples and tainting them with false standards, and to realize that
true brotherhood has nothing to do with business or with forcing wrong philosophies upon them. True
brotherhood is about a community who work together for the upliftment of the whole, and to help each other
in times of trial.

Since many of these facts have now been proved by theologians and researchers it is time for a reappraisal of
our lives and the philosophies we follow. The REAL Secret Doctrine is there to be discovered if one is true to
his or her own heart.

 THE FIRST CHRESTIAN CHURCH

The following is an article published by Richard, Duc de Palatine in 1973 to explain how the Gnostic
schools and teaching came from much earlier traditions, and how these were carried forward to the present
day in spite of persecution and the destruction of records. The article deals specifically with the origins of
the Christian religion and deals with the influence of these early traditions in England. The details given
are not in anyway complete, owing to the gross misrepresentation of the Church Fathers, but it is hoped
that the article will present a guideline to those who are interested in this subject. Whilst it has not been
possible to check all the information in this paper as the Duc de Palatine had access to records not
generally available to the public, we would not doubt the veracity of his findings.

The word Chrestos existed ages before Christianity was ever heard of. Certainly long before 325 AD. This
can be attested by reputable historians from the 5th century BC. There are evidences extant even today which
prove beyond cavil that the term Christian was used to denote a Good Man. This fact has been attested from
the 5th century BC by Herodotus, called the Father of History, and then by Aeschullus, and other classical
Greek writers, the meaning of this term being applied to both things and persons.

Chrestians Not Christians

Canon Farar’s THE EARLY DAYS OF CHRISTIANITY spells originally CHRISTIAN as CHRESTIAN,* in
the same manner as Justin Martyr, Tertullian, Clemens Alexandrinus and Lactantius, and many other Fathers
of the Church spelled it. The worthy Canon was forced to admit that the name CHRISTIAN was first invented
by the sneering, mocking Antiochians, as early as AD 44, but had not come into general use before the
persecution by Nero. Even Claudius looked with alarm and suspicion on the Christians, so nicknamed in
derision for their carnalizing a subjective principle or attribute. So the work of fraud had started even before
325 AD.

That the British Isles are a relic of a vaster continent cannot be denied. Even Ignatius Donnelly in his two
works “Atlantis – The Antediluvian World” and “The Destruction of Atlantis” clearly shows that the TRUE
RELIGION from Atlantis had migrated to England and Ireland. Lewis Spence in his three works “The
problem of Atlantis,” “Atlantis in America” and “The History of Atlantis” brings to light more details that
show England as originally a part of Atlantis. H S Bellamy also gives some startling facts about Atlantis in
England and Ireland. From their findings there is sufficient evidence to show that England and Europe formed
part of a larger land mass, and that somewhere about the 10th century BC this land mass was broken up by an
upheaval.

If this is true, and our geologists have now proven this to be correct, it would account for the traditions
prevailing in Ireland; and the West of England all speak of their former home which was situated in the Isles
of the West now sunken beneath the Atlantic. From this homeland they received all their social, religious and
political systems. This could infer that Britain was an already highly cultured land before the Romans came in
55BC. It could also account for the existence of their religious system called Druidism, where the name of
their chief deity was called CHRESTUS. That is the real reason why Julius Caesar tried to exterminate the
Druids, since he was deified and given also the title of CHRISTUS (Roman spelling). Who borrowed from
whom?

AD 37 – Origins of English Chrestianity

Sometime in AD 37 THERE ARRIVED ON THE west shores of England – possibly Avalon, the Isle of
Apples – certain strangers of Culdich ‘quidam advenae’, reportedly coming from Egypt. The Leader of the
strangers was known as Joseph of Arimathea, an initiate of Serapis and Christos in Egypt. When he related
his religious doctrines to the Arch Druid, the priest replied that he and his people were well aware of this
doctrine, since they had received it from their forebears across the ocean, in their homeland now beneath the
sea.

The strangers were hospitably received by Ariragus, King of the West Britons or Silures, and were settled in
the Druidic College there. It is reported that the magical practices brought from Egypt were the same as those
practiced by the Druids. The Welsh Bards tell us that great scholars from Phoenicia, Egypt, Chaldea, India,
Greece and then finally Rome made pilgrimages to Britain to be trained in their wisdom and magical practices.
It was therefore from Britain that the Torch of Civilization was passed from them to other nations during a
period of six thousand years according to Herodotus. This ancient scholar further states that Egypt and Britain
derived their civilization from Atlantis, known in those far off days as the Fabled Land of Lyonnesse of King
Arthur.

The Bards of Ireland tell us that they were a part of Twin Islands called Antilla and Atlantis. Julius Caesar
was told by the Druids in 55 BC that in six thousand years your world made no advance in civilization which
it originally received from Antilla or the Isles of the Blest. Again Herodotus was told by the Priests of On that
in the Isles of the West, he would find their sister land. The secret name of their Saviour was called Chrestes
and that it was within the Hill of Tara in Ireland that the Oracle of God could be found. He was further told
that their written history dated nearly 14,000 years before his time. What we call now the occult arts were
known and brought to the nth degree of accuracy. Their temples were places of immortality; and the Fountain
of Eternal Youth. Their Seers could see the past, the present and the future as though it was happening now.

The Domus Dei

Later the Culdich built their first Temple, the “Domus Dei” where now stands the remains of the great
Monastery of Glastonbury. The Glastonbury Tor was already in existence many thousands of years before the
great Monastery. It was built in a form of a pyramid after Egypt and Central America. It stands in the middle
of a great zodiac, whose origins are lost in time. The outline of the Zodiac is the same as those to be found in
Utah and Brazil. Godfrey of Monmouth writes that there is a tradition prevailing at earliest times that a great
golden ball stood on the top of the Tor.

Therefore, one can easily trace the history of the Culdees from AD37, but their origin has always baffled the
historians. There are three claims put forward: that the Cultores Dei (Culdees) were friends and some were
disciples of Jeshu ben Pandira who escaped the persecution in Rome at the time of Caligula. When this ruler
banished the Serapeans and philosophers from Rome, Jeshu may have travelled to Britain via Egypt and
Iberia. Whether or not this claim can be historically verified is debatable since the historical date of Jesus
(Jeshu) still remains in question. However, we feel it is doubtful that a more logical explanation is to be found
within the remains of the history of the Gnostics.

Isiaca Mensa

We know that Calligula hated the Gnostics and the Serapeans, because he was refused initiation by them. In
retaliation for their refusal, he ordered them out of Rome. We know from Legend that a group of strangers
appeared at Cadiz in Spain carrying with them an emerald image of Serapis whom they called Chrestes. They
remained there for some years until their presence disturbed the populace. They then requested permission to
sail to Britain and the northern people of Iberia built them ships and gave them provisions. The High Priest
gave them a Tablet with 22 faces called the Isiaca Mensa. He claimed that it was copied from the original at
Alexandria in Egypt, their homeland, with the instructions to build a mound and bury it at the centre. When
the Arch Druid saw the Mensa, he prostrated himself before it and ordered an armed guard to protect it.

Later, the High Priest took the leader of the strangers to a small mound and showed him an exact copy of the
Mensa, which he claimed his forefathers brought from Antilla in the West, and which allegedly had lain in the
Chariot of the Temple of Posedonix and Clieto, the protecting gods of Antilla. Alexander found a replica of
this Mensa in the Patheon of the Acropolis in Athens. Here we have the Isiaca Mensa mentioned in Atlantis,
Britain, Iberia, Rome, Athens and then at Alexandria. It was called the Table of Thoth. It was commonly
known throughout the classical world as the CHRESTES or Oracle of the God!

On the death of Herod, King of Judea, in 4 BC, Augustus divided Herod’s kingdom between the tetrarchs
Archelaus Antipas, and Phillip. In AD6 Archelaus was deposed and Judaea became a Roman province. At
this time Tiberius became Caesar, and in AD 24 Phillip, the Jewish tetrarch, died and circa 36 John the Baptist
was put to death by Antipas. Here again we are in dangerous waters; we know practically nothing of the
Baptist except in the New Testament. WE do know that after this supposed death of the Baptist, there was a
migration of Jewish Gnostics from Judaea who travelled to Rome for protection. Whether this is a recall of
the statement of Isaiah that the Jews migrated to the Isles in the West is uncertain. The fabulous Isles of the
West was already under water, so we can only conclude that the Isles of Isaiah referred to Britain.

Different Calendars

Here we will see that we are labouring under an astronomical problem: The Jewish calendar differs by many
years with the Roman Calendar, so we have to decide which one does the New Testament pseudo-history
follow. Then we have to take into account that there is a century difference between the Roman Julian
calendar and the Catholic calendar of Gregory of Rome. If the Gregorian calendar is a century too early, and
this has been proved by astronomical calculations, we are indeed in deep waters. These facts must be taken
into account when dealing with the pseudo-historical basis of the New Testament, more so with the Book of
Acts now accepted in the Christian Canon, and which book was known to be spurious even as early as the 3rd
century AD.

Tiberius died and Caligula ascended the imperial throne in AD 37. During the reign of Caligula, as stated
earlier, Tacitus reports that the Bishops or Hierophants of Serapis were persecuted and banished from the
Roman Empire. Tacitus mentions that there was a great evacuation of priests and philosophers from Rome,
and they sailed away towards the East, while some migrated to Egypt. At the same time there was another
migration from Jerusalem and Galilee of certain Gnostics who went to Egypt and then to Iberia (Spain).

Roman Persecution

After the assassination of Caligula, Claudius ascended the imperial throne. Mainly by the inspiration of
Seutonius, who hated both Claudius and the Serapean Cult, Claudius also became alarmed at the power of the
Serapean Bishops. Seutonius, Head of the State Academy on Capitoline Hill in Rome, became very disturbed
at the power of the Gnostics and sought their banishment from Rome. So again a migration started, this time
of Serapeans and Priestesses of Isis. As explained earlier, Claudius was deified and given the title of
“Christus” by the Romans. When Claudius went to Britain, he was acclaimed by the people as the Lord of the
Chrestes, and they built a temple to him, and was given the title of Chrestes by the Druids and the petty Kings
of Mercia and Sussex.

When Claudius died by poison at the instigation of Agripinna, to get her son Nero on the throne, Nero accused
the “followers of Christus who died by Pontius Pilate.” Although this was an excuse, as we all know, it does
have a very great bearing upon the events which took place in Britain.

Bihsops of Christos

Here we must recall a very important fact: ;In the times of Tiberius, Caligula, Claudius and then later during
the reign of Hadrian (117-136AD), the Bishops of Serapis were also called Bishops of Christos, hence the
Gnostics, Serapeans and Chrestians all belonged to the same fraternity. We also know from historical
evidence that the term “Christos” was used thoughout the Greek and Roman world for many centuries BC as a
divine and personal name given to heroes and great men after their death. We suggest that the word Culdich is
the Gaelic term for “Chrestes”, “The Wanderer” and a pupil on probation for Initiation into the Mysteries of
the Christos or Serapis. The main theme of Serapis was the Quest for the Christos (the Divine Soul) and then
the achievement of it through initiation or ‘mystical experience’. Again the most important fact to keep in our
mind is that the words Christ, Christos, Chrestes were common words throughout the classical world and in
the legendary periods long before 325 AD.

One must also take note that the supernatural gifts ascribed to the Gnostics and Chrestians were for above the
traditional known gifts. The Gnostics were known to have an uninterrupted succession of miraculous powers:
the gift of tongues, of vision, and of prophecy; the power to expel demons, heal the sick, raise the dead, and
conferring the powers of immortality, etc. These were fully attested to by historical evidence, whereas the
miracles of “Jesus of Nazareth” have come down to us by tradition alone. This was the complaint of Justin
Martyr and Lactantinius. Julius Caesar states that the followers of the Druids and Serapis adhered to a very
stern Disciplina Arcani involving many years of arduous training.

Jesus Followed an Older Tradition

So far, any form of historical analysis of the first three centuries of the Christian era brings up many problems
for the Christian layman. But, the scholars have always known that historically, the religion of Jesus Christ
did not stem from him, but that he simply perpetuated the True Religion which had existed from the very
origin of the human race, that is to say from the last days of Atlantis. We know very little of the national and
religious conditions of Atlantis in its prime, only what is revealed by Plato and many other classical scholars.

There are certain Gospel references which make it quite clear that Jesus followed an older tradition, and that
he was just repeating these traditions, as most teachers of mankind have stated.

Historians and scholars have always noted the remarkable similarity which exists between Druidism and the
Serapean Cult brought to England by the “strangers”, and could account for the reason that the first converts
of the Culdees were the three Arch Druids of England. The word Gnosticism has a wider connotation than
that whish is given to it by the Ante-Nicene Fathers of the Christian Church. Gnosticism means “The
Knowledge and Experience of the Things That Are”, and therefore we find Gnostics within every religious
system known.

We find from “Ecclesiastical Antiquities” of the Cymry, that the Silurian Druids claimed that their teachers
came from the Isles of the Blest now lost beneath the Great Ocean some six thousand years ago. This may
account for the reason for embracing the “Cult of the Christos” on its first promulgation in Britain. It was Les
ap Coel (Lucis) in AD 156, who confirmed the Bardic privileges when they became “Chrestians”, and this
king declared the “Cult of the Christos” to be the national religion of England.

Many of our students have wondered why the scholars still use the terms “Christian” instead of “Chrestian”.
The answer is very simple when you think about it: they are Christians first and scholars afterwards, so it is
obvious that they have not done their homework, and like all Christians they never bother to read up on their
history!

To understand the origins and background of the religious movement called “Christian”, the student has to
study religions from Atlantis, the Phoenicians, the Egyptians, the Chaldeans, the Indian; the religions of
Greece and Rome in the West, then those of Attis, Adonis, Mithra; the cults of the Essenes and Zealots of
Judaea. Those should be studied not in their relationship to Christianity, but rather Christianity’s relationship
to them. Honest studies should be made on how they influenced and even helped to mould the present form of
the Christian religion, the youngest one of them all.

No scholar would be stupid enough to hold that the Mediterranean nations and the ancient American nations,
each spontaneously and separately invented similar arts, sciences, habits, and the similar religious myths in
both sides of the Atlantic without a land connection existing between them, and that England and Ireland
could have been a part of that cultural passage. It is obvious that they must have descended on from the other,
or have radiated from one common source – Atlantis.

King Arthur Legend – Not Christian

It is again evident that the story of King Arthur and the Round Table is not Christian, but “Chrestian”, and was
patterned after the Constitiutions of the Platonic Arcane Discipline of Alexandria in Egypt, whereas the Quest
for the Holy Grail is derived from the Isles of the Blest, now sunk beneath the Atlantic. It seems that the
Druids were surprised to find that all the religious customs of the Cult of the Christos were the same as their
own. This similarity facilitated the merging of the two cultures into one called Culdee.

There is one bit of historical evidence which can and does throw a great light upon the migration of the
Strangers to England and the establishment of the Legend of the San Grael. Sigge, son of Fridulph, a pontiff
prince of Azoff, a province of ancient Edessa, in the Crimea, 72 BC, took the name of Odin when he assumed
leadership of the early Saxons, and led twelve Peers and a great people across Europe via Northern Germany.
There he was to establish the religion of Odin as shown in the Norse Edda. They finally reached the shores of
Britain and became friendly with the Druids in Scotland and the Celts of Gaul.

Edessa was a stronghold of Gnosticism. Fridulph was the religious pontiff of a group of followers of
Mithraism. Bardesanes went to Edessa about A& 72 and established a Gnostic Kingdom there. The Romans
seized the small kingdom and a second migration travelled to England and became merged with the Culdee
Cult. The Supreme Pontiff of the Culdees was called Odin and the God was called Votan; this belief was
again reinforced by the migrations of the Vikings, who carried the religion of Votan back to Norway.

Latin Conversion Rejected

The Latin Church from Rome tried to convert the Culdees by missionaries, but they were sent back to Rome.
In AD 579, the Latin Church met the Culdees at Witby, and Gregory, then a missionary, tried to Latinize the
Culdees, but the Culdees replied to Pope Boniface IV: “Your Chair, O Pope, is defiled with heresy. Deadly
errors have crept into it; it harbours horrors and impieties. Catholic! The true Catholicism you have lost.

The Chrestians and the true Catholics are they who have zealously preserved the True Faith, which was in
existence from the beginning of time.” Unfortunately the petty Kings south of the Humber river sided with
Gregory and drove the Culdees into Wales.

The Saxons or Sadain race looked with suspicion on the efforts of Rome to convert them to Latin Christianity,
which was founded by Constantine in 325 AD. The Sakians and Culdees were non-Christian and the Vikings
and Picts became merged with the Culdees, for the obvious reason that the Saxons, Culdees and Picts had the
same constitutions and doctrines. There is also historical evidence that many more peoples found their way to
Britain from Ireland, Scotland, Gaul, Norway, Germany, Spain, all having the same doctrines and
constitutions. When William Duke of Normandy landed in England, he brought with him Bishops and Nobles
who were Chrestians and Operative Masons, who were definitely opposed to the Latin Form of Christianity.
There is further record that the Culdees sent teachers to Gaul, Iberia, and Germany and perpetuated the True
Religion in those lands, but were always persecuted by the Latins.

Continual migrations of the oppressed Catharites, Paulicans and Gogomiles from Central Europe, mainly due
to the fierce persecutions of the Latin Popes and the Byzantium emperors, caused their influence to spread all
over Europe and eventually they became merged in the migrations to and from Britain. Therefore all those
who held to the original Chrestian Church found sanctuary in England. With them came the Knights Templar,
the Fratres Lucis, Rosae Crucis and finally the establishment of modern Freemasonry.

True Origins of the Sanctuary of the Gnosis

Therefore, THE SANCTUARY OF THE GNOSIS, formerly known as “The Pre-Nicene Catholic Church”
grew out of this ancient church, and is neither Latin Catholic or Eastern Catholic in its traditional sense, but is
Culdee/Chrestian/Gnostic in structure and doctrine. It has an Arcane School attached to it in the same manner
as did the Chrestians, Gnostics and Culdees and their forerunners, the migrants from Atlantis. From our
researches there is no doubt whatsoever that Atlantis was the homeland of the TRUE RELIGION.

In summary, we have shown that the first Chrestian Church was established in England in AD 37. It should be
clear now that the many ramifications of this True Religion did not begin within the Roman or Greek Empires.
It must have had its beginnings in the most remote time of human recorded history. In fact, the outlines of this
True Religion can still be traced in the oral histories of every nation and every known civilization that looked
to the Lost Atlantis as their homeland.

It would be humanly impossible to give a concrete and specific outline of how this True Religion first founded
in Atlantis spread out over our globe as of 9564 BC. But we feel sure that the serious student who desires to
know and understand the beginnings of RELIGION from which the various aspects and types of religious
convictions sprung, will find the right sources in the various mythologies, legends, myths and written records
available today.
