Anticorrosion Protection: Primary layers must have pigments that allow paint to
have anticorrosive properties by means of cathodic protection mechanism
(Zinc) or by means of anodic protection mechanism (Phosphates). Due to
environmental regulations lead and chrome based pigments are not being
currently specified.
After this layer is dry the finish layer of epoxy paint will be apllied.
The thickness shall be 2 [mill] on dry basis.

The type of internal coating selected is with FRP application. The technical
specification for this process is as follows:
A primer coat with high elasticity characteristics will be applied. The thickness
is 0,1 [mm] and the purpose is the steel impregnation so that it does
not absorb the resin of the following FRP layer during its application. This
layer also provides a chemical barrier against corrosion.

The process shall be finished with the application of Gel – Coat plastic paint.
These are not reinforced resins that become the surface of the FRP. Gel –
coat has three principal purposes:
Each resin coat will have about 0.15 [mm] thickness and 2 layers will be
applied in order to get a final thickness of the surface finish of 0.3 [mm] approx.
