INDUSTRY SALES AND TURNOVER

Sugar - Industry 15830

This table shows the relationship between the total sales of principal products of the industry and the total turnover of
the companies classified to the industry.

Companies are classified to an industry according to their main production activity (principal products). The total
turnover of the companies is broken down into non-production activity, split into four main heading, Net Carry-
In/Carry-Out and the Total UK Manufacturer Sales of products within this industry.

Carry-In sales are defined as the sales of products classified to an industry which are made by companies classified
to other industries. Conversely, Carry-out sales are the sales of products classified to other industries by companies
classified to this industry.
