INTRODUCTION

The computers are playing a vital role in today’s modern society. The computers with
their immense processing power, huge storage capabilities and high precision and
accuracy, are facilitating individual people as well as organizations to perform their day-
to-day tasks more conveniently and efficiently. The same is true for the field of online
system where computers help jobseekers as well as professionals in doing their work
efficiently.

This project Online Recruitment System will an online website in common concept,
where jobseekers will register themselves online and apply for job. Online Recruitment
System will provide online help to the users all over the world. Using web recruitment
systems like recruitment websites or jobsites also play a role in simplifying the
recruitment process. Increasing request for web software systems, some of them to be
used very intensive. The customers not ask only for fast design and implementation, but
also for a high quality product. Considering reliability as an important quality attribute, it
describes the current state of the art in designing, implementing, and testing web
software. An important attention is given to software vulnerabilities and how to deliver
secure software (Albeaun et al, 2009).

This websites will facilities where prospective candidates will upload their CV’s applying
for suitable job. Web interface design was of enduring interest to researchers as online
papers on the internet continues to grow (Hong et al, 2004). Some features of this system
will be creating vacancies, storing application data, and interview process initiation,
scheduling interviews, storing provide plate form to the applicant list and finally hiring of
the applicant. Today’s recruitment application portals are designed to do a whole lot more
than just reduce paperwork. They will make a significant contribution to a company’s
marketing and sales activity.

The area of web-based simulation (the integration of the web with the field of simulation)
(WBS) has grown since the mid-1990s. The web itself has evolved rapidly, and current
Web-related research areas include Web 2.0, service-oriented architectures and the
Semantic Web (Byrne et al, 2010).

The semantic web challenge was created to show off the benefits of semantic
technologies by developing integrated, easy to use applications that could provide new
levels of web functionality for end users on the web or within enterprise settings.
Applications submitted to the competition demonstrate clear practical value that goes
above and beyond what is possible with conventional web technologies alone (Mika and
Hendler, 2009)
EXISTING SYSTEM

Currently the jobseekers who have recently completed their degrees form different
universities and want to seek a best job but they have no experience to make their CV’s
according to the standards of recruitment agencies. And they have to make their CV’s
manually with different grammars mistake and have to consume their precious time for
this purpose. And there have no place to save their CV’s securely. Jobseekers feel agitate
to make a huge and massive CV documentations.

PROPOSED SYSTEM
The perceived system will be user friendly interface, graphical user interface and based
on the Relational Database Management System (RDBMS). The developed system will
be capable to generate different reports quickly and efficiently. Latest technology will be
utilized to develop this system with more flexibility, reliability and performance.

OBJECTIVES OF THE SYSTEM

The main objective of the project is to develop Online Recruitment System (ORS) that
can facilitate the jobseekers and employees to make their CVs and cover letters according
to new international standards with more efficient and convenient way with the help of
modern computer systems.
Review of Literature

Russo, et al. (2001) explained that software engineers make use of a large number of
different descriptions throughout the development process including analysis, models,
specifications, designs, program codes, user guides, test plans, change requests, style
requests, schedules, and process models. These descriptions are constructed and updated
by different developers at different times during development.

Shaw (2002) explained that software engineering benefit from a better understanding of
the research strategies that have been most successful. The model presented here reflects
the character of the discipline, it identifies the types of questions software engineers find
interesting, the types of results they produce in answering those questions, and the types
of evidence that they use to evaluate the results.

Hong, et al. (2004) narrated that web interface design was of enduring interest to
researchers as online papers on the Internet continues to grow. In this paper, they focused
on two design features, presentation mode and information format, and examine their
impact on user’s interaction with websites. An experiment was conducted to compare
text-only versus image-text presentation modes, based on the dual coding theory (DCT),
and list versus array information formats, based on the proximity compatibility principle
(PCP). In general, the findings support the application of the DCT and the PCP to the e-
commerce domain.

Stapleton, et al. (2005) explained that this study examined 68 web sources selected by 19
second-language students while preparing to write research papers. Students submitted an
annotated bibliography consisting of ten sources from print or electronic media. Each
web source was classified according to type. From the 68 sites, 29 were considered
conventional, i.e. similar to materials housed in libraries and eight were “dead” links.

Timmons and Park (2008) narrated that while there was general agreement that research
capacity in nursing needs to be increased, there has not been a great deal of attention paid
to the possibility of increasing publications by students of research undertaken for
dissertations. This was potentially a useful way of increasing the evidence base in
nursing.. These factors were discussed, and recommendations were made to increase the
number of this type of submissions.

Sadat-Mohtasham and Ghorbani (2008) narrated that Adaptive Web Systems (AWS)
were web-based systems that can adapt their features such as, presentation, content, and
structure, based on user’s behavior and preferences, device capabilities, and environment
attributes. They developed a framework to provide the necessary components and
protocols for the development of adaptive web systems.

Shaker and Ibrahim (2009) stated that many users use web search engines to find and
gather information. User faces an increasing amount of various HTML information
sources. The issue of correlating, integrating and presenting related information to users
becomes important. When a user uses a search engine such as Yahoo and Google to seek
specific information, the results were not only information about the availability of the
desired information, but also information about other pages on which the desired
information was mentioned.

Koutb, at el. (2009) narrated that current web contains billions of documents and there
are many problems associated with the World Wide Web (WWW) such as, getting lost in
the hyperspace according to the large amount of search results; difficulties of web
administration due to the huge number of web pages available on the web today, and the
web content being still accessible only to human. Machines cannot participate in taking a
decision. The solution to these problems is the dynamic web. The dynamic web is
considered to be the extension for the current web.

Grudin (2009) described that In 1997, Brian Shackel published the article ‘‘Human–
Computer Interaction Whence and Whither?” In this early foray into historical reflection
on the field, past work is covered with a focus on identifying European contributions,
issues of particular contemporary interest are explored, insights of lasting value that
Professor Shackel was uniquely positioned to glean are identified. His work is placed in
the broader context now available, and an always-useful reminder of the difficulty of
anticipating future events is provided.

Albeaun, et al. (2009) describe that there is an increasing request for web software
systems, some of them to be used very intensive. The customers ask not only for fast
design and implementation, but also for a high quality product. Considering reliability as
an important quality attribute, it describes the current state of the art in designing,
implementing, and testing web software. An important attention is given to software
vulnerabilities and how to deliver secure software.

Nuseibeh (2010) stated that robust and realistic development process allows both
requirements engineers and system architects to work concurrently and iteratively to
describe the artifacts they wish to produce. This process allows developers to better
understand problems through consideration of architectural constraints, and they can
develop and adapt architecture based on requirements.

Farooq (2010) narrated that software testing provides a status report of the actual product
in comparison to product requirements (written and implicit). Testing process has to
verify and validate whether the software fulfils conditions laid down for its use. Testing
should reveal as many errors as possible in the software under testing phase, check
whether it meets its requirements and also bring it to an acceptable level of quality.

Tappolet, et al. (2010) stated that one of the most important decisions researchers face
when analyzing software systems is the choice of a proper data analysis exchange format.
In this paper, A set of software technologies and data exchange formats based on OWL.
Since OWL describes the semantics of the data, EvoOnt (1) is easily extendible, (2) can
be processed with many existing tools, and (3) allows to derive assertions through its
inherent description logic reasoning capabilities.
MATERIALS AND METHODS

Proposed system is going to be designed after complete study of manual system. Also
we will understand that how records will be maintained in the computerized system.
There are certain ways to development the software and we will try to find the best
way of achieving that.
All business applications need to store large volumes of data, organized in format that
simplifies retrieval. This is accomplished with a database management system (DBMS), a
mechanism for manipulating tabular data with high level commands (Evangelos, 2003).

After gathering requirements and information about the current system, feasibility study
will be performed. Then the software development will be preceded in different steps. All
the requirements will be reviewed to design the technical aspects of the new system. The
technical aspect of new system will be converted into source code to develop the required
application. The front-end, which will provide (GUI) Graphical User Interface, will be
developed in HTML, Java Script, Dream Weaver, PHP 5 as frontend. The back-end of the
project, which will keep records, will be designed in My SQL 5.0.

Web interface design was of enduring interest to researchers as online papers on the
internet continues to grow. In this paper, we focus on two design features, presentation
mode and information format, and examine their impact on user’s interaction with
websites (Hong, et al, 2004).

SOFTWARE REQUIREMENTS

The choice of software is a very important factor to be considered during the development
phase of the new system (Conneolly and Begg, 2001).
This decision depends upon many factors including the current environment, amount of
data to handle and the cost of programming. After studying the nature of the problem and
considering the need of organization. I have selecte My SQL 5.0 as backend (Database)
and HTML, Java Script, Dream Weaver, PHP 5 as frontend.
