Resumen: Las crisis epilépticas focales es el nivel de complejidad que se puede dar en una persona con epilepsia y
estas consisten en una actividad eléctrica anormal en una parte específica del cerebro, y según la FEDE (2017) el 57%
de las crisis epilépticas son de tipo focal, así mismo el 66% se da entre las edades de 6 a 14 años, según el MINSA
existe una tendencia de presentarse antes de los 4 años. Por lo tanto, el siguiente artículo busca exponer un caso de
crisis epiléptica focal, también mostrar las posibles intervenciones psicoterapéutica en el enfoque cognitivo
conductual. El estudio tuvo un diseño no experimental, pero si descriptivo e interpretativo. Los instrumentos
utilizados fueron la Escala de Inteligencia Preescolar de Wechsler-Revisada WIPPSI - R, Cuestionario de Madurez
Neuropsicológica CUMANIN, Escala de Madurez Social de VINELAND, aplicado a un paciente masculino de 4 años de
edad. Los resultados obtenidos fueron dificultades notables en la capacidad motriz, coordinación de ambas manos,
dificultades notorias en la articulación del lenguaje y fluidez verbal
Abstract: Focal epileptic seizures is the level of complexity that can occur in a person with epilepsy and these
consist of an abnormal electrical activity in a specific part of the brain, and according to the FEDE (2017) 57% of
seizures are of the type focal, also 66% occurs between the ages of 6 to 14 years, according to the MINSA there is a
tendency to present before 4 years. Therefore, the following article seeks to expose a case of focal epileptic crisis, also
to show possible psychotherapeutic interventions in the cognitive behavioral approach. The study had a non-
experimental design, but a descriptive and interpretative one. The instruments used were the Wechsler-Revised
WIPPSI-R Preschool Intelligence Scale, CUMANIN Neuropsychological Maturity Questionnaire, VINELAND Social
Maturity Scale, applied to a 4-year-old male patient. The results obtained were notable difficulties in motor ability,
coordination of both hands, notorious difficulties in language articulation and verbal fluency.
