Acknowledgements of Our Appreciation & Gratitude
On September 13, 2006 CJAED’s Women’s Unit launched Jasmine: Association of
Businesswomen in Israel. Jasmine was launched in order to address the need for a national
organization that would provide leadership on issues affecting women in business. Jasmine
aims to assist all women who own registered businesses in Israel, from all communities and all
parts of the country, and provides services to organizations which work with businesswomen
and women entrepreneurs in Israel.
In 2008, Ofra Strauss, Director of the Strauss Group became the first President of Jasmine.
Ofra Strauss has been very committed to Jasmine since its inception, with cooperation
between the Strauss Group and Jasmine.
JASMINE was established with the generous support of the UJA Federation of New York,
the Hadassah Foundation, and MEPI.
