P = Peso Promedio final.
P1 = Ponchado 1.
P2 = Ponchado 2.

INGLES
Objective
Determine the density or weight of the materials used in textiles products, or in the products of leather goods in
gr. /m2 (gram per square meter).
Foundation
Establish density and/or weight of the materials
Scope:
This instruction applies to the area of Quality Management CDPs fashion and accessories for the materials
evaluated in the process of Design and New Product Development, Manufacturing of the Product and Control of
Finished Product of Fashion and Accessories Products in all companies and countries of the Corporation.

Rubber Base
Sample.
Punches
Method
1. Make two punches in the sample distanced from the edges and the seams.
Note: If the area of the material doesn’t allow you to make two punches, make one.
3. Calculate weight averages of the three punched samples, with the following formula:
P1 P2
P
2
P = Final average weight.
P1 = Punch 1.
P2 = Punch 2.
4. The final average weight it’s multiplied by 100; and this value it’s the density or weight expressed in g/m2.
Results:
5. If the result obtained is inside the range of Belcorp, the product is “Approved”, otherwise it’s “Not Approved”.
