Qatar International Petroleum Marketing Company Ltd. is a project, aimed to


help sell Qatari oil and gas products. Implementation includes FI-CO, SD, MM
and HR.

A Greenfield project that was challenging in the sense that the business
processes were being laid and optimized at the same time the ERP team was
diligently involved in SAP implementation. The ERP team simultaneously
helped the business owners in business process optimization.

I was held mainly responsible for the team of 2 developers in designing,


building, testing, deployment & support for all, "netback process", amount
calculations, approvals and repayments. "Netback process" is the principle
upon which the business of Tasweeq is conducted. It is the backbone of the
company. "Netback process" is an integration point of the commercial
operations and the financials of the company. Development for this
application required me to work in FI, SD and MM alike.

Highlights:
• Designed and developed “Netback process” as custom application for
calculations of repayment.
• Conducted Unit test and performance testing of the application.
• Developed low priority reports and print forms. Provided support for

It is one of the largest SAP A&D implementation in the world with MRO
(maintenance, repairs and overhaul) functionality covered by standard SAP
modules.

Typical for an upgrade project, analyze the impact on development/custom


objects/modifications by an upgrade, using standard SAP tools. Analyze the
impact on user roles and authorizations by the upgrade.

Rectifying the programs and objects impacted. Develop tools in ABAP for
authorizations and impact analysis.

• Change programs and objects impacted by the upgrade to conform to
the business functionalities.
• Apply SAP notes where required.
• Developed program to migrate custom roles and authorizations in to

The Defence Science and Technology Agency (DSTA) is the first statutory
board to be set up under the Ministry of Defence (MINDEF). It is responsible
for implementing defence technology plans, managing defence research and
development, acquiring defence material and developing defence
infrastructure for MINDEF.

Implementation of state of the art, Netweaver 04S platform based, SRM 5.5
for procurement functionality, in conjunction with numerous other SAP/non
SAP systems.

Production Planning

The Dewan Mushtaq Group is one of the largest industrial groups in Pakistan
involved in four major industrial sectors i.e. polyester and acrylic fiber,
textiles, sugar manufacturing and automotives.

I was appointed by the PMO, as team lead for all developments &
enhancements in the SAP Production Planning module through all the
companies in the SAP system, three automotive and one cement company.
To help achieve a timely milestone, client provided with their own
programmer to be trained in ABAP workbench and make effective use of
during realization.

use of graphs in reports.

Indus Motor Company (IMC) is a joint venture between the House of Habib,
Toyota Motor Corporation Japan (TMC), and Toyota Tsusho Corporation Japan
(TTC) for assembling, progressive manufacturing and marketing of Toyota
vehicles in Pakistan since July 01, 1990.

Worked on a change request raised by the client to integrate main bank with
the SAP system. Held meetings with the bank personnel to identify technical
requirements & feasibility. Developed custom programs & reports with ABAP
workbench to fulfill requirements. Conducted unit testing, system integration
testing and UAT to complete task in time.

National Refinery Limited (NRL) is the largest refinery in Pakistan and the
most profitable.

Made entry in SAP with this project which proved to be a good learning
opportunity with its limited resources & timeline but a considerably wide
scope. Not only did it allow me to polish my skills in the ABAP workbench but
also learn the core SAP business processes & the methodology with which
SAP projects are carried out.
