VOCATIONS GENERAL DV 0337 CALLINGS 50 minutes JSA This DVD interviews a community leader, dancer, funeral director, marine biologist, priest, singer, ballplayer, teacher, social worker and youth minister. Baptism is seen as their call by God to do well what they are called to be. DV 0100 REAL FAITH TV 200 minutes total JS This DVD is a powerfully energetic, edgy, faith-based television show produced by teens, for teens, about teens. One segment of the DVD is on Vocations. VC 2189 VOCATION, VOCATION, VOCATION 20 minutes JS Hear people young and old talk about their jobs and dreams. Leaders will be empowered to help youth ask questions that will help them in their life-long process of searching for the vocation to which God is calling them. It features Ted and Lee (Mel and Marty) trying to figure out what to do with their lives. In their comedic style they use the story of the feeding of the 5,000 in People Gots to Eat to bring the Bible alive with unheard of characters. VC 2117 ATHENAEUM OF OHIO: HIDDEN GEM OF THE ARCHDIOCESE OF CINCINNATI SA The Athenaeum of Ohio, the graduate school of theology sponsored by the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Cincinnati, prepares people to serve the church effectively s priests, deacons, and lay ministers. The documentary-type video gives the historical background of the Athenaeum and highlights the programs offered. VC 1281 GODS CALL: A FAMILY AFFAIR 27 minutes JS In this video, one learns firsthand how dynamic young men and women, together with their parents come to or are coming to realize Gods call to the religious life and priesthood. They invite the viewer to share with them the journey they have traveled. VOCATIONS RELIGIOUS LIFE VC 1675 FAITH-FILLED WOMEN: A HISTORY OF THE SISTERS OF CHARITY OF CINCINNATI This 25 minute video begins with a description of the life of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, first American-born saint and found of the Sisters of Charity. It proceeds with the development of the order and the life of the Sisters in Cincinnati, Ohio, and other parts of the United States and the world. It shows how the Sisters touch the lives of orphans, seniors, seminarians, school children, the sick unwed mothers and immigrants. VC 1453 MOTHER TERESA: WOMAN OF LOVE AND PRAYER 25 minutes IJS This documentary takes us through the streets of Calcutta where Mother Teresa and her Missionaries of Charity daily serve those who society has forsaken. VC 1410 A DIFFERENT PATH 60 minutes JS The video offers a rare look at the lives of women religious of two diverse communities. Benedictine Sisters in Clyde, Missouri who spend their days in prayer and Sisters of St. Joseph in Brooklyn NY who are involved in education and work with the poor and abused persons. The Sisters profiled share the tremendous rewards of a life devoted to God and their initial doubts and ongoing struggles as well.
