En un mundo de “multitasking” (“multifunción” o hacer varias tareas

simultáneamente), la frase “Time is money” se ha convertido en un mantra

moderno. Este dicho equivale a “¡El tiempo es oro!”, y en la cultura
estadounidense valoramos el tiempo, tanto como el dinero. A menudo se
utilizan los mismos verbos para hablar del tiempo y del dinero. Hay muchas
expresiones en inglés con metáforas sobre el tiempo como algo de valor.

Alice saves time by driving instead of walking.
2. make time – find time or schedule a specific time (hacer
espacio) Ejemplo: I can make time to eat lunch with you on Tuesday.
3. take time – need a significant amount of time (requerir tiempo) Ejemplo:
This homework is going to take time. You can’t finish it in one night.
4. spend time – use time (pasar tiempo) Ejemplo: Erin and Craig spend
time with their grandma every Sunday.
5. waste time – to not use time wisely (perder tiempo) Ejemplo: I’m very
busy. Please don’t waste my time.
