 MESSAGE FROM THE SONG

"We will rock you" means "we will shake you." According to May, the song talks
about the usual frustration that people usually feel, that feeling of incapacity,
feeling useless, unable to achieve what one wants. A child who dreams of a
better life, becomes a young man who struggles to reach his goals and finally
becomes an old man who could never fulfill his dreams. Thus, it tells the story of
a person with whom all those who cannot reach their goals and who frustrate
their dreams are identified. This depressing lyrics contrast with the intense
rhythm of footsteps and palms of the subject.
For its part, the chorus, which says "we are going to shake you", has little to do
with the rest of the stanzas. The funny thing is that, according to Brian May, he
is inspired by a lullaby of a Czech crib, in which parents sing to their children
