Contemporary dance

The contemporary dance was born in 1200 B.C Imposing this dance. For this
religion Christianity therefore it was not accepted because it was sin and they
invoked a woman goddess, to this body expression joined women slaves and
these women were in charge of popularizing as a result of entertain, the main
function of this was to express freedom and communicate with the body.
In the Second World War this
dance style was called modern dance but Its evolution took place at the end of the
years 1940 where he preferred to call the expression of these movements
contemporary dance

Isadora Duncan (1877- 1927)
She gave rise to different movements taking as an example the Greek sculptures.
she decided to dance barefoot and use only a robe as a costume. She created
dances using the law of gravity and resistance.

Ruth Saint Denis (1879 – 1968)

use some movements based in India, Egypt and Asia. She began her career as a
soloist time after I create a company called Denis Hawn.

Mary Wigman (1886 – 1973)

She was inspired by the Asian and Oriental World, in
its work as soloist and in Group use masks. The four basic aspects of M. Wigman
are: expression, space, dance without music and the principle of tension and
relationship.
My opinion
I chose this topic because I love dance Since I was little I like to dance, I learned a
lot of things although others have taught me along my way, different teachers have
helped me to discover my body, movements, facial expressions among others.
I would like that many people learn to appreciate, respect and admire this type of
art as shown until the deepest secrets of the soul with each movement, is a
variation of the united body flowing to the rhythm of the song and effusive or
sadness.
Contemporary dance shows a place or movements in order to get a personal
interpretation, don't always have to tell a story, it's often subject to a choreographer
who makes creative decisions he or she chooses pieces that will have an abstract
or narrative character, dancer is selected according to your skills and training, the
choreography is done based on its relation with the music or the sounds with which
it is danced. The role of music in this dance is different from other genres because
it can serve as a background for the piece.
Contemporary dance is born as a revelation of the classical ballet that was seen in
the theatres in the 19th century breaking down schemes and implanting new forms
of expression, feelings, ideas, emotions. In the second world war this dance style
was called modern dance but its evolution took place at the end of the years 1940
where he preferred to call the expression of these movements contemporary
dance.
Over time contemporary dance was divided into 2 different schools one of them
was the European school and this one is inspired by the expressive gymnastics or
later rhythmic gymnastics stating that spiritual states must be represented through
attitudes and movements of the body as unity and not only of the face, this divides
the body into 3 variable zones:
 The lower limbs, express strength
 The torso and arms express the spiritual and emotional
 Head and neck, the gesture, reflect the mental state
His ideas were brought to the USA by one of his disciples Steele MacKaye who
together with Genevieve Sebbins disseminated these ideas to the best schools in
New York. Isadora Ducan was one of the pioneer dancers in the United States
whose execution technique was characterized by free movements, fluids and
loaded with passion and were the basis for the 20th century dance just like
together with her a group of American dancers began to create dances that broke
with some criteria of modern dance.
This was characterized by:

 The own movement

 The expression of sentiment
 Visual show
With these schools there was a particular representation of women and men who
made a difference with each special style that they added to the contemporary
dance, some of them are:
Isadora Duncan (1877- 1927)
She gave rise to different movements taking as an example the greek sculptures.
she decided to dance barefoot and use only a robe as a costume. She created
dances using the law of gravity and resistance.

Speaking of dance makes me remember that sometimes I dance allows me to be
free, happy also learn to know me and to know each style of dance as happens
with the contemporary dance, feel like I can accomplish anything and express what
in one way or another I can´t do with words.
