WINTER SOLUTION
During the colder winter
months the skin becomes
more vulnerable to the
environment increasing
sensitivity, dryness and
dehydration.
This is because the skin’s Barrier
Function is becoming impaired
making it less efficient at keeping
the elements out and internal
moisture in.
Winter has arrived early this season
and with extremely low temperatures.
Intake of fluids should be increased to
counteract the loss of moisture from
the central heating in homes, the work
place and heated vehicles.
As mentioned last month, exfoliation
is essential at least 3 times a week.
Exfoliate only twice a week if you suffer
from open active acne. Exfoliation is
essential to prevent the build up
of dead cells on the skin’s
surface, thus allowing
moisturising
creams to
penetrate
deeper into
the skin’s
layers and
promoting
a healthier,
hydrated
skin.

2 large pork fillets
12 large sage leaves
12 pieces of Parma ham
500g wild mushrooms
Mash potatoes
Whilst the pork fillet is cooking you can make the sauce which is very simple.
Place the shallots in a pan with the Madeira and reduce to a syrup. Add the chicken stock and
reduce by half then add the cream and butter, add some seasoning and place to one side until
serving.
To Serve
Place some mash potatoes in the centre of a plate and arrange the slices of pork around, scatter
