Magnus.
ABSTRACT
This laboratory practice was developed in order to observe and determine certain
characteristics presented by fluids when they are static and when they are in motion (fluid
mechanics). First the practice was carried out with static fluids, first there was a certain
amount of water, alcohol and glycerin inside a test tube. With the intention to find the
pressure experienced by a submerged particle at 3 cm and 33 cm deep. For this, a
flexometer was used to measure the distance that the water moved inside a manometer
when introducing the hose inside the test tube at the different depths (this procedure was
carried out with the three fluids). Finally, two balloons were inflated and placed on both
ends of the manometer with the intention of recording the displacement of the water inside
it and thus be able to find the pressure in each of the balloons. After the practice of fluid
dynamics was performed where the inverse relationship that shows the speed and pressure
at a particular point of the fluid (higher speed, lower pressure) was evidenced. To check the
above, first two balloons were tied at a certain distance on a support and then blow between
them. Then he took a rectangular piece of paper and taking it with both hands at one end
blew through the top. Finally two glasses were taken to join them from the bottom with
tape and with the help of a piece of rope was propelled and it was evident that thanks to the
turns experienced the Magnus effect
