What works should a disciple of Jesus display?

Paul named Saul began as a Pharisee fully committed to the persecution of the Jews in Acts 26:8-16.
After his encounter with God he was given a new task and was baptized in the name of Jesus, fearing
God in keeping his commandments. As he grew in understanding and skill he became full of the Holy
Ghost and his ministry became his new passion to fulfill God's will (Acts 13:49-51) and he
accomplished it in 2 Timothy 4:6-8. Paul was faithful and perfected his works until death, therefore he
shall claim his reward at the coming of Jesus.

Judas was a disciple of Christ, but he became a busy body for Satan rather than God.
(Matthew 26:24-25) No one can serve two masters and see the Kingdom of God. (Luke 16:12-16) As it
is written in (Zechariah 11:10-15) that Jesus would be sold for 30 pieces of silver in Matthew 26:13-15,
Judas fulfilled prophecy. And another prophecy was fulfilled when Jesus persecutors took siege of him
(Mark 14:42-44) to stage his crucifixion on the Passover (Daniel 9:27, Matthew 12:38-40, Matthew 26)
since the Pharisees did not want to cause an uproar with the Jews on the high Sabbath day known as the
Feast of Unleavened Bread. Because Jesus' death was on the Passover he is known as the Passover
Lamb; however after Judas felt grieved about the crucifixion he killed himself which fulfilled prophecy
as well. So Judas did perfect the works of Satan, however it has got him cut off from the Kingdom of
God.

As servants of God, are we doing what is required to enter into the Kingdom of God? Honoring God by
being faithful in all our works according to righteousness; not only obeying God's commandments but
also doing things as Christ or even greater things than Christ.

John 14:12
Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater
works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

Judas did not understand God's Kingdom, a spiritual kingdom not based on things of this world. So as
believers in Jesus we must not dwell on the cares of this world which fade away, but on God's laws
which are spiritual.

Jesus said "I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall
live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world." John
6:51 That which is sent forth from the Father is the Word of God (John 1:1) whom Jesus "was in the
"world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not."(v10) "But as many as received
him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:" (v12)
"And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only
begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth." (v14)

Now in order for Judas miss out on salvation, he had to the works of Satan, otherwise he could have
repented and saved his life rather than loose it to Satan. There's truth in God's word as Jesus "came unto
his own, and his own received him not." (v11) Had Judas received Jesus he would have either repented
or never done this evil. Judas did not understand the Kingdom of God, otherwise he would have never
forsaken by suicide. For none who kills himself can enter into the Kingdom of God. God is in the
business of creating man in his image to become God and not to destroy his creation.
As you see in Luke 22:1-4 Judas was tempted to do this evil John 13:1-3 because he had been led by
Satan prior to the Passover, the day of Jesus death. For this day was prophesied that all would be
fulfilled so that the blood of Jesus would cover all sons of Adam who believed in him so that they may
not see death. Jesus came to fulfill the commandments through love and to become the High Priest of a
better covenant by sacrificing himself for all believers and ending animal sacrifice for making
atonement of our sins.

For Judas to miss it all he definitely was a worker of iniquity (Job 31:1-8) led by Satan. Therefore, it is
wise to do the will of God by seeking the scriptures for understanding and being obedient to his laws.
Everyone has a talent that can be used towards the Kingdom of God, for the body is composed of its
members. So each member has a special part in preparing the way for the Kingdom of God. God gave
us that talent be fulfill our passion towards his kingdom as his word in the foundation which we are
rooted and built-up in Christ. (Colossians 2:6-8, Ephesians 2:18-22)
