How to Make Buffalo Chicken Dip

Introduction

Buffalo chicken dip is a great snack to have at a party or tailgate, and it is easy to make. This
instruction set lists the steps to prepare a bowl of buffalo chicken dip. It starts by describing
how to prepare the materials and ingredients. Next, it describes how to cook the dip and the
order to add the ingredients in. At the end of the instruction set, the reader will have a bowl of
buffalo chicken dip. It takes approximately 20 minutes to prepare a bowl of buffalo chicken dip.
The bowl will be large enough to serve between 10 and 12 people.
The main warnings of this instruction set pertain to the portable skillet. The portable skillet
warms up very quickly and it is easy to get burned. There is also a warning for cutting the
chicken because you could cut your hand. It is important to perform the instructions on a flat
surface so nothing spills because the contents of the skillet will be hot. It is also important to
work in a ventilated area. The smoke from the skillet may set off a smoke alarm if the room is
not ventilated. Finally, the instructions should be performed away from flammable items to
avoid injury.

Food Items:
 1 ½ pound of Chicken
 Hot Sauce
 2 Eight Ounce Cream Cheese Packs
 Ranch
 8 oz. Cheddar Cheese
 Tortilla Chips

Utensils:
 Portable Skillet
 Cheese Grater
 Mixing Spoon
 One-Half Cup Measuring Cup
 One-Third Cup Measuring Cup
 Paper Towel
 Mixing Spoon
Instructions

1. Attach the power cord of the portable skillet as seen in


Figure 1. Place the skillet on a flat surface and plug it into
an outlet.

2. Dice one and a half pounds of chicken into small


chunks as seen in Figure 2.

Warning: Be careful when cutting the chicken


because the knife is sharp.

Note: This works best if you use canned chicken like


Tyson’s Premium Canned Chuck Chicken.

3. Grate a block of cheese onto a paper towel using a Figure 2. The chicken being diced.

Note: This works best if you use the largest holes and
if you hold the cheese grater at a 45 degree angle.

4. Turn the skillet on to around 200 degrees as seen in


Figure 4.

Warning: The skillet gets hot very quickly. Refrain


from touching the hot surfaces.

5. Dump the chicken into the skillet. Stir the chicken with a mixing spoon so the chicken
becomes evenly heated.
6. Measure a one-third cup of hot sauce and add it to the
chicken. Add another one-third cup of hot sauce. Stir the
hot sauce until the chicken and hot sauce is fully blended
as seen in Figure 5. This will take about 5 minutes.

Note: More hot sauce can be added based on taste


preference.

7. Add 2 eight ounce packs of cream cheese while the


chicken and hot sauce is being stirred. Stir the mixture
as seen in Figure 6.

Note: It is easier to stir the cream cheese if you cut


the cream cheese into small blocks with the mixing
spoon.

8. Measure a one-half cup of ranch and add it to the


chicken mixture as seen in Figure 7. Add the ranch
dressing to the skillet while the mixture is being stirred.

9. Stir the mixture until all of the cream cheese and ranch is melted and evenly mixed in the
skillet. This will take about 5 minutes.

10. Add the shredded cheese to the warm mixture as


seen in Figure 8. Stir the cheese until it is melted.

Note: It is easier to mix the cheese if the cheese is


added in small increments at a time.

11. Turn the skillet off once all of the ingredients are melted
and well mixed.

Note: The buffalo chicken dip should be consistent in


color, and all of the ingredients should be well mixed as
seen in Figure 9.

Conclusion

Once the buffalo chicken dip is a consistent color and well mixed, you can open a bag of Tortilla
chips and enjoy your hard work. Feel free to alter the ratios of chicken, ranch, cream cheese,
and hot sauce to find the perfect combination for you.
