The drugs are the chemical substances that produce an unfavorable change in the
consumer, these affect the central nervous system and brain functions, due to this
there are changes in their behavior, emotions, in the functioning of the organs and
many times the death.
Drugs when entering the body make contact with other cells of our organs,
traveling through the body and when combined they change normal functioning, for
example when a people consumes tobacco, the nicotine is combined with nerve
cells and causes an increase in the blood pressure, causing a stroke and even a
heart attack.
When a person begins to get high, they may perceive what appear to be positive
effects. You may also believe that you can control consumption, but drugs can take
over a person's life very quickly. Over time, if the consumption of the drug
continues, other pleasant activities become less pleasant and the person has to
use the drug only to feel "normal." Controlling the need to use the drug becomes
difficult, even if the consumption causes many problems for the consumer and for
their loved ones. Some people may begin to feel the need to consume larger
amounts of the drug or consume it more frequently, even in the initial stages of
consumption. These are the signs that indicate addiction. Brain imaging studies of
addicted people show physical changes in areas of the brain that are essential for
good judgment, decision making, learning, memory and behavior control.
According to a document from the OMS, 1 in 10 people who inject drugs are
carriers of HIV, because the syringes they use are contaminated because they are
dirty and used.
There are pregnant women who are addicted and are not only affecting their
health, also the health of their baby; The children of these women, born with a
neonatal abstinence syndrome, these may include tremors, behavioral problems,
difficulty sleeping. There is research currently underway that is exploring these
effects on the brain and if behavior extend to the teenage years.
I know people who have fallen into an addiction to these and the changes that I
have perceived are changes in their behavior, they do not know what they speak,
they say nonsense, suffer from lung problems, anorexia, stomach problems and
other illnesses that are Notorious, so, they are a mirror to say and to confirm that
drugs only bring problems in our life and especially in our body.
