Después de un verbo
Los pronombres objeto tienen una equivalencia con los pronombres personales.
Entonces vamos a mostrarte primero los pronombres personales y en frente los
object pronouns:
I -> Me
You -> You
He -> Him
She -> Her
It -> It
We -> Us
They -> Them
De esta lista podemos ver lo siguiente: Existen algunos Object Pronouns que
cambian con respecto a su pronombre personal: Me, Him, Her, Us y Them. Por
otro lado, algunos tienen la misma forma: You e It.
Me: mí o me
Please help me! / ¡Por favor, ayúdame!
Give me a hand. / Échame una mano.
What would you and your brother do without me? / ¿Qué harían tú y tu hermano
sin mí?
También puede significar CONMIGO después de la preposición WITH.
Would you like to come to the Halloween party with me? / ¿Te gustaría venir a la
fiesta de Halloween conmigo?
You (plural): les, os, con ustedes, con vosotros, con vosotras, los, ustedes, las
We brought you this pie. / Les trajimos este pastel.
We saw you at the restaurant last night. / Os vimos en el restaurante anoche.
I would like to go to the concert with you. / Me gustaría ir al concierto con ustedes.
This book was published by you. / Este libro fue publicado por vosotros – vosotras.
We accompanied you to the port. / Los acompañamos al puerto.
We will take you to the closest police station. / Las llevaremos a la estación de
policía más cercana.
This gift is for you. / Este regale es para usted – vosotros – vosotras.
Him: lo, le o él
When Tiffany saw him, she fell in love. / Cuando Tiffany lo vio, se enamoró.
Tiffany gave him a nice suit for his birthday. / Tiffany le dio un bonito traje para su
cumpleaños.
Tiffany went to the graduation ceremony with him. / Tiffany fue a la ceremonia de
graduación con él.
It: lo, le o la
I saw the movie Avatar last night and I enjoyed it. / Vi la película Avatar anoche
y la disfruté.
I took the dog to the doctor. He checked it and said it was healthy. / Llevé el perro
al médico. Lo revisó y dijo que estaba sano.
I forgot to buy the dog’s food, but I brought it a nice piece of meat. / Olvidé comprar
la comida del perro, pero le traje un buen trozo de carne.
Error común:
Error: Look at she.
Correcto: Look at her. / Mírala.
Error: I talked to they about the meeting.
Correcto: I talked to them about the meeting. / Les hablé de la reunión.
Error: I met he at the new grocery store.
Correcto: I met him at the new grocery store. / Me encontré con él en la nueva
tienda de comestibles.
En las tres oraciones anteriores vemos que error consiste en usar un pronombre
personal cuando debemos usar un pronombre objeto.
