We ordered a package of these for a large podcast we are preparing with more guests than we
usually support. We currently use Shure SM-58 mics, but I didn't want to spend that much on
additional mics that I'm not sure will see regular use, so I figured I'd try these out.
From an Audio perspective, they're plenty hot. Hotter than the Shure mics, for sure, so you will
need to dial them back just a touch to equalize. They also have relatively good sound for the price
as well. The mids are a little scooped, but they have good highs and lots of bass. All in all, they're a
very nice value purchase.

I have been an audio engineer for 10 years. I am intimately familiar with the sound characteristics
and applications of the Neuman 87Ui, Shure SM57 & SM 58, and AKG Blue Line microphones. I
bought this 3-pack 4 years ago and I was shocked to discover how well they perform as... DRUM
MICS!!! At home, I don't have the luxury of using the most expensive gear on my kit, but the
Ultravoice mics sound clear, full and detailed! I put two in octabons, and one on a huge 18" floor
tom. I say - without bias - that these sound BETTER than every Sure mic I own!

Sure s85 and you can't tell the difference. Also the other parent couldn't believe what I pay for

JUST WOW! SUPERIOR SOUND QUALITY

I had to write a quite review for these. I am a semi-pro musician, which means I get paid to play
but I don't make my whole living making music alone. I bought these because I am doing a gig that
needed mics with on/off switches on them and the Shure SM58s we were using didn't have them.
While Shure does make a version of the 58 with an on/off switch, it would be quite pricy for me to
invest in three of them. I did a little research and wanted something that came in a case with three
vocal mics with on/off switches on them. Several companies had packages that came close, but it
was this Behringer package that ticked all the boxes. It also happened to be the most affordable. I
assumed the mics would be okay given the low low price of the package, but much to my surprise
these sounded better than the 58s! I wasn't the only one who thought so; my other vocalist said
the mic was clearer than the 58 was and that she didn't have to sing as loud to be heard. So there
you have it. If you need three mics with on/off switches that come in a nice case then do not
hesitate to get this. Dare I say if you want to step up from an SM58 sound wise get these as well.
The only thing I can't comment on is durability and reliability. The thing about SM58s is they last
forever. The one I am comparing this mic to has been with me since the 80s. Will these still be

Absolutely amazing mics i have put these through the mill . I have used them for years at concerts
for vocals and instruments. No problems and they sound amazing for the price compare to shure
sm48 or sm58 . I have smashed them on floor on stages banged them around . They feel heavy
duty metal conetruction . Highly reccomend.

Well, for the money you just can't go wrong with these mics. They look good, are well constructed
and they work. They aren't real heavy, but they do have a metal body so they dont feel super light
and cheap either, when hooked up to a mic cord they felt good in the hand. The switch is decent
quality and the directional selectivity was decent. Last but not least, the tonal quality on the mics
is pretty good and the gain sensitivity is also quite good. I use these in my mobile DJ business and
they work great for me. Now, If I was picking a mic to hand a rock star to use in front of thousands
of people at a concert, I would still go with a Sure SM58, but for most other applications, (like
mobile DJ, Karaoke, etc.) these mics are pretty darn good considering their price point.

Beware - new version (2019) is not as as good as the original

I bought a set of the original version of these back in 2009 and they are fab. Good at any price and
amazing at this price. Rugged, look smart, and sound great - not a flat frequency response, but the
sort of sound that is great for clear close-miked vocals. Super tight polar pattern too, for good
gain before feedback. Not far off the performance of the Shure SM58 (yes, that good), although
with a bit more handling noise.
So in November 2019 when I needed some more mics for another project, I bought another set of
three. Big mistake. The 2019 version is not as good the original version that is the subject of most
of these reviews. The overall sound of the later version is nowhere near good as that of the
original - much less clear and not nearly so nice. And the handling noise is much, much worse -
don't even think about using it hand-held, and even on a mic stand you are pushing your luck,
especially if anyone touches it to sing or speak into it.
I'm usually a big fan of Behringer stuff, but they took their eye of the ball on this one. Maybe they
just couldn't keep putting out mics that good at that price. Fair enough, but given that the new

So these work far better than expected to be honest and they work really well.
I grabbed these because of the price figuring i'd just return them if they were as horrible as they
could be.
NOPE! Work great for podcasting. These are a top down (talk in to the top) mic, with the foam mic
cover and a H6 handy recorder you really are set.

These mics are utterly amazing for the price. I was looking at getting a mic or two for my DJ setup
when I came across these and took my chances. Unlike some people Color:Black
on here, I had noticed that
they are NOT WIRELESS. I'm reading people's reviews saying: "Thought these were wireless,
disappointed, 1 star" Don't rate them down because of your idiocy! They are really good quality.
Obviously they are not wireless, Behringer aren't Citronic!!!! No company ever would sell 3 wireless
mics with no visible receiver for £30!! If you cannot see a receiver (A BIG BLACK BOX WITH A STICK
IN IT) then it's not wireless.
These mics are not made as a toy, nor made for wireless capability and YOU DO NEED XLR (THE 3
PIN CONNECTOR ON THE BOTTOM OF EVERY MIC EVER THAT ISN'T MADE FOR A TWO YEAR OLD
OR AN ADULT WHO THINKS LIKE ONE) CABLES AS THERE AREN'T ANY IN THE PACKING

Who really needs a microphone costing above £100, when you can buy three for less than half
price. I hold Behringer in high regard because of their durability in terms of build and sound
quality. Very little feedback compared to other microphones I use and feels right to hold, they just
slip into the mic boom stand with ease. Some purists will have their arguments about various mics
for their own reasons. my answer is to buy a basic Behringer and use it in tandem with a decent
audio interface with DAW.

Brilliant microphones, bought for recording a 3 host podcast with the intent to upgrade later if
needed.
We've discovered we totally won't need to upgrade, used in conjunction with our behringer mixer
and no bull cables these microphones deliver high quality audio every time.
Completely comparable to the Shure SM58.
