Preposition of location

"Under" quiere decir bajo o abajo:

Para decir que algo está abajo de otra cosa:

The mouse is under the chair. (El ratón está abajo de la silla.)

They are under the umbrella. (Están bajo el paraguas.)

Behind" quiere decir detrás:

Para indicar que algo está detrás de un objeto.

The ball is behind the box. (La pelota está detrás de la caja.)

The pencil is behind the apple. (El lápiz está detrás de la manzana.)
"In" quiere decir dentro.
Se usa para determinar objetos que están contenidas dentro de otros objetos.

The milk is in the cart. (La leche está en el carrito.)

The elf is in the box. (El elfo está en la caja.)
