How Can Music Increase How Far You Can Throw a Baseball?

One day I was at baseball practice and my coach asked us if we wanted him to play music

and we all said yes. Before he started playing the music we could not play catch. But right when

he started playing music we did not make a bad throw. It was CRAZY!!!​ I thought that if I

played music then the ball would go futher and I found out that I was correct.

How Can You Accurately Measure How Far a Baseball Travels and How Hard It Is Going?

One way you can measure how far the baseball is traveling is with a radar gun. A radar

gun says how hard you threw it and how far it went. The radar guns runs on USB chargers. One

of the best radar guns are the pocket radars. The pocket radar guns is very good because it is very

small and you can take it anywhere. A radar gun that is not a good gun is the sub-par-radar guns.

With the sub-par-radar guns the MPH is very inaccurate most of the time. Another reason that

the sub-par-radar gun is a bad guns it because it is very hard to use because you have to have a

stand, but the pocket radar guns you can just hold with your hand (Best).

What Muscles Are You Using When You Throw a Baseball?

When you throw a baseball you are using a lot of muscles.The muscles you use the most

are your deltoids, triceps, latissimus dorsi, abdominal muscles, and your hips. When you throw a

baseball you have to be really careful because it is very easy to pull or even tear a muscle in your

throwing arm because you use your arm a ton when you are throwing a baseball. In the text it

says that if you throw too much you can sometimes get pain in your arm. When you get older

there is a surgery that a lot of people have to get because they threw too much when they were

young. It is one of the most painful surgeries that you can get as a baseball player (Throwing).

How Does Music Impact Physical Activity?

. says that music impacts physical activity because it can help you get motivated. Another reason

is the author states that when you have music you have a better chance of doing good because

you adrenaline is pumping and your in a good vibe. It can also improve your focus before your

game. The last reason is it can improve your mental toughness and it can improve your

efficiency(Music).

Why Do Some Sports Have Music but Others Don’t?

One reason why some sports have ,music playing while the game is going on is because it is a

very loud game and it does not distract the players while they are playing. Some sports that have

music playing while the game is going on are basketball, ice hockey, football, and soccer. Some

sports that do not have music playing during the game are baseball, golf, and tennis. The author

states that the sports that do not have music playing during the game have more concentration

during the game. The last statement that the author says is he really enjoys music but it can

become a distraction to the teams that are playing the game(Music)

How Does Music Affect Focus?

In a recent study said that music can be really distracting to the players. It also says that music

does not affect your focus because of your focus because of the soothingness. The author states

that they did this study at The University Of Stanford. The author says that music helped the

students get a better grade on their big tests because of the soothingness that music brings to you.

Music will not affect your focus unless you let it affect you. The last reason is that music can

help you study(Team).

What Factors Affect How Far a Projectile Will Travel?

Some ways that you can tell how far the baseballs’ projectile will be is you can put a tracker on

the ball and it will tell how far and how hard you threw it. You can also now that the force of

gravity will eventually bring the ball back down to earth. Another reason is the air resistance in

the air slowing the ball down when the ball is in flight or in motion. Also the speed of release

depends a lot on the balls distance it travels. The last factor is the height of release and the spin

rate of the baseball when you let go of it(What).

Conclusion

I thought that if I through the baseball with music or without music then the ball would

go futher, and then I found out that I was correct. ​The average for throwing a baseball with

music was 319.49 meters and the average for throwing a baseball without music was 283.02

meters. I realized that music at sporting events is very good because it pumps people up and it

gets there blood flowing. I also realized that when poeple throw the baseball with music it can go

40 meters longer. That is the distance that can make or break a game.
