For the record, pollution in the world seas and oceans had already increased.

The marine plastic

pollution became a dilemma in marine environment since there is already a recorded number of
(4.8–12.7 million metric tonnes of plastic annually) produce from commercial and recreational
ships and vessel, large industrial equipment, aquaculture operations. On the other hand land
base source also gives it deleterious impact especially when it comes to street litter, dumping,
packaging (including plastic bags), plastic sheeting and production waste (Haward, 2018). It was
estimated that nearly 800 marine species are already affected with this marine debris. Ocean is
succumbing to the poison of plastic causing marine life to be highly at risk (Gall & Thompson
2015). In 2014, a recent study estimated that there is at least 5.25 trillion plastic particles
weighing 268,940 tons are seen floating at sea especially near at the coastal area (Lebreton,
2014).

Microplastic turns to be a high concern in marine life since it is the leading cause of pollution in
the ocean (Masura, 2015). This is defined as plastic particles < 5 mm in diameter, which includes
particles as small as 10 nanometres. This microplastic is now accummulating the surface of the
ocean and ocean seabed. According to some observation microplastic is indeed a tremendous
challenge for marine life since

Devices used in maintaining marine environment safe for living organism

(Desmond,2019) FRED – “Floating Robot to Eliminate Debris” its purpose is to remove plastic
waste on the ocean or lake surface. It is programmed to navigate long-distance while the Robot
is Controlled using a Xbox Controller. It is a Prototype with a four foot-long conveyor belt,
connected to two pontoons, which it is estimated to scoop over five trillion plastic parts and the
plastics will be transported by a ship to the land surface. The FRED Machine is frequently
monitored by the satellite's to be updated of the status of the machine. The Machine “FRED” can
approximately collect 45 percent of the trash that enters the sea.

( Ceglinski,2018) The Seabin Project tackles on ocean pollution or plastic pollution. The
Project was concentrating locations; Marina’s, ports, and especially yacht clubs. This
specific location's is semi controlled environments with no weather problems. From it’s
details, it’s a great hotspot for high production and high consumption of plastics with over
322 Million Tons in 2015 that transfers land to water. The Main Goal of the project is to
achieve the sustainability and sustainable development achievements. This Device is to
insure that any micro-plastic and micro-fibers can be prevented or can be manage to enter
to the ocean. The Mechanics of the technology it moves up and down with a range of tide
to collect the trash that is floating in the are and store them completely in one spot. The
device is in its 5th version and it’s already confronting waste components and debris in the
area they specifically did the test.
