1. BACKGROUND:

Institute of Finance Banking and Insurance (IFBI) has been set up to cater to the manpower requirements
of the exponentially growing Finance sector in India and internationally, and has been significantly
contributing to the BFSI sector since its founding in 2006. IFBI has trained over 15,000 existing BFSI
professionals since October 2006. IFBI, which also offers individual education to career-seeking students
through its education centres, has delivered over 6000 industry-ready professionals to the BFSI sector since
2007.

IFBI offers career programs in the domain of Banking, Finance, Accounting & Insurance for graduates
and college students who are inclined towards making a successful career in these fast - growing sectors.
These programs are designed to offer necessary employability skills that broad base the career options for a
student.

3. ELIGIBILITY FOR PLACEMENT SERVICES:

The placement servicesinclude interviews with leading BFSI organization, grooming & personality
development sessions including mock interviews at IFBI. The services offered under placement facility
would be governed by terms & conditions. All programs of IFBI are not offered with Placement Facility.

4. THE IFBI ADMISSION PROCESS

To get admission to an IFBI program, a candidate needs to clear the IFBI admission process that
involves IFBI Common Entrance Tes/ and /or Perosnal Interview with IFBI faculty panel.

Students enrolled for DBFS can apply for upgrade to PGDBFS/HDBFS based on specific criteria.

5. HOW TO APPLY

All candidates seeking admissions for IFBI Programs need to apply in the prescribed Application Form.
Application Form can be obtained from any IFBI center or can be downloaded from www.ifbi.com.
Candidates can fill up Application Form collected from the center or downloaded from IFBI website or also
can apply & pay online by going to www.ifbi.com.

6. STEPS TO APPLY ONLINE(Another option to apply)

Candidate also has the option of applying online by following the steps below:

a. Log on to www.ifbi.com and go to the link at www.ifbi.com/apply-online.html

b. Fill up the Application Form


c. Indicate mode of Payment

d. Make Note of the Application ID for all future references.

e. Submit Application form on the web.

f. Take print out of the filled Application Form

7. IMPORTANT DOCUMENTS TO BE SUBMITTED

As mentioned in point 14.

8. HOW TO SUBMIT APPLICATION FORM?

Candidates who have filled up Application Form, in writing or taken print out of online filled form, need
to physically submit IFBI Application Form, along with the photocopies of the required documents and the
Fee, using one of the three methods as mentioned below:

a. Visit the IFBI centre personally and submit Application Form along with the enclosures mentioned
above.

b. Send a representative on behalf and submit Application Form along with the enclosures mentioned
above.

c. Send it through Courier/Speed Post/Post to IFBI centre where the candidate wishes to pursue the
program with the enclosures mentioned above. The application fees can be paid by a Cheque/Demand Draft

• The Cheque/Demand Draft should be made in favor of “NIIT Institute of Finance Banking and
Insurance Training Ltd“ payable in the same city as the IFBI centre where the candidate wishes to enroll.

• Candidates must ensure that they prima-facie fulfill the stated eligibility requirements.

9. LAST DATE TO SUBMIT THE APPLICATION FORM:

Completed IFBI Application Form must be submitted at IFBI centres before 6.00 PM on the last date of
application.

10. ABOUT IFBI COMMON ENTRANCE TEST (ICET)

a. The candidate has to appear for IFBI Common Entrance Test (ICET).

b. The duration of ICET would be up to 55 minutes. This test requires no separate preparation. However
it is preferable that the candidates are familiarwith the pattern of the question paper.

c. Application Form of the candidates who fail to be present at the stipulated time & venue for the ICET
will be nullified and the candidate will have to apply fresh.

d. Since the ICET is an on-line test, candidates are advised to practice their keyboard skills and become
familiar with on line tests by taking an online practice test at IFBI's web site - www.ifbi.com

11. PERSONAL INTERVIEW + TEST RESULT DECLARATION

a. The test results will be declared post completion of taking test and personal interview.

b. Based on the performance in the personal interview and test, the candidates will be categorised and an
appropriate program offer will be made to the candidates.
c. The candidate will be informed of his selection for the program during the personalised counseling .

d. The candidate is required to carry the following original documents for the personalised counseling .

I. Proof of Date of Birth (copy of class X certificate / PAN card / Passport / Voter id. / Driving
License)

ii. For Graduate: Original Mark Sheet of Class 10th, 12th & Graduation and Degree Certificate

iii. For 2nd / 3rd year college student: Orignal Marksheet of class 10th, 12th & Ist year / 2nd year of
college

iv. Post Graduation Certificate & Mark sheet (If Applicable)

v. Work Excperience papers (if applicable)

e. Selected candidates should confirm their acceptance by paying non-refundable Admission Fee as
applicable.

f. The Admission Fees can be paid in the form of Cash or through Cash, Credit /Debit card, Cheque or
Demand Draft favouring NIIT Institute of Finance, Banking and Insurance Training Ltd, payable at the
preferred city location as chosen in IFBI application form.

14 IMPORTANT DOCUMENTS

Please don’t forget to bring following the original documents at the time of Interview:

1. Three Copies of passport-sized photographs

2.(i) For Graduate: Photocopies of Class X, XII & Graduation Mark Sheet, Graduation Degree
Certificate, PG mark sheet & PG Certificate (If applicable)

(ii) For 2nd / 3rd year college student - Photocopies of X, XII, 1st / 2nd year marksheet

4. Application fees of Rs. 500.00 (Rupees Five hundred only) through Cash, Credit /Debit card, Cheque
or Demand Draft. Cheque / D D should be in favour of “NIIT Institute of Finance Banking and Insurance
Training Ltd” payable at the preferred city location as chosen in IFBI application form.

15. CONDITIONS ASSOCIATED WITH PLACMENT ASSISTANCE FACILITY [for select programs
only]

Students selected for career programs (select programs only) can availa Placement Assistance Facility
extended by IFBI. Student needs to register themselves for availaing this facility. Under this facility,
student will be provided a maximum of three opportunities of interviews by the Partner ORganizations
associated with IFBI.

1. Placement Assistance facility is available only if the student:

i. has successfully completed graduation with >=50% aggregate marks and is able to produce proof of
the same.

ii. has completed the program with:

· A minimum of 60% aggregate in each Term

· At least 50% marks in each Module Test (within stipulated attempts)

· A minimum of 85% attendance in each Term.

iii. must be less than 27 years of age at the time of completing the program or SOL whichever is
earlier.

iv. must have registered for Placement Assistance Facility by filling the Placement Registration Form.
v. has availed the facility within Statute of Limitation(SOL).

vi. must be medically fit and able to produce the proof of the same.

vii. accepts any other eligibility criteria / qualification criteria / employment conditions specifically
stated by the Partner Organization.

viii. has shown continuing and participative interest during the program and for placment and selection
processes extended by IFBI.

2. the student may be posted at any office of the Partner Organization in India or aAbroad.

3. Under this facility, student will be offered a maximum of three opportunities of interviews by the
Partner Organizations associated with IFBI. If offer made by IFBI Partner Organization through this
facility, then Placement Assistance facility is deemed as completed and no further interview opportunity
will apply.

4. Students may need to travel to interview location/city for conduct of interview. Travel cost will be
borne by the student.

5. The student acknowledges that the terms & conditions of employment and proposed profile offered to
the student are sole prerogative of the Partner Organization and therefore IFBI shall not be, in any manner,
responsible for the same.

6. The Placement Assistance offered herein shall in no event be construed to be a promise for placement.

Please note that additional requirements may be specified in special situations.

16. REGULATIONS FOR IFBI PROGRAM with INTERNSHIP FACILITY [For Select Programs only]

Internship is not an integral part of all IFBI Programs. Only certain programs [like PGDBO] will offer
Internship. Since Internship takes place at the premises of Partner Organization, student is assigned
responsibilities similar to employees at the Organization. Internship has some special obligations in
addition to the academic rules and regulations. These include but are not limited to the following:

1. The student is bound by the rules, regulations, timings, administrative procedures and discipline
requirements of the Partner Organization and must necessarily comply with their policies and must ensure
safe keeping and confidentiality of all material and information entrusted to him/her.

2. Internship may take place at any organization approved and provided by IFBI at any location across
the country.
3. The student is required to bear boarding, lodging and all incidental expenses during the period of
Internship.

4. The student is expected to have successfully cleared the class work phase with:

· A minimum of 60% aggregate in each Term

· At least 50% marks in each Module Test (within stipulated attempts)

· A minimum of 85% attendance in each Term.

5. The student should not have any blood relative/spouse working in the Partner Organization and should
not have applied directly to the Partner Organization earlier.

6. The student acknowledges that assignment of work, as part of the internship/final placement is the sole
prerogative of the Partner Organization. Therefore, he/she may be assigned the work as per requirement by
the Partner Organization, which is allied/ancillary/incidental to the IFBI Program. The said work shall be
deemed part of the internship facility/final placement.
