SCOPE 2.1. This procedure covers the test, calibration and operational checks of the 21.4. 3. EQUIPMENT REQUIRED 3.1. General © 217A Patient Simulator « DMM KEITHLEY 2000 3.2. Hand Tools © Smaf{ fiat blade screwdriver © Test cable 3.3, Accessories, © Dual Banana to Clip DMM leads 4. SETUP 4.1, General 4.L1. Connect the 21A to the test 217A using the special cable. 4.2. Visual inspection 4.2.1, Inspect the unit for loose screws, solder bridges, neatness, cleanliness, component polarity, missing parts, broken parts, bent parts, foam tape under exystal, straighiness of switches and connectors and that IC's are seated properly in their sockets. 5. PROCEDURE S.L, Turn the simulator on, 5.2. A fow seconds after power up the top board display should read: READY = ku tu 5.3, Ifit reads NO COMMUNICATE $.4, There is a malfunction in the system. Repair it 5.5. Enter the following key sequence: ‘SPEC 0 A 5.6. The display should read: ROM REV. inn 5.7. Be sure the number matches the number printed on the ROM, and it is the latest firmware, 5.8. Enter the following key sequence: ‘SPEC ° 1 $2699 5.9, The display should read: VIEWING ANGLE 5.10, Adjust the angle as desired by repeatedly striking: | ON uP S.L, Then press: SAVE 5.12, After few seconds the display READY ww shoulel retuen to: 5.13. Turn the power off. Depress and hold: SAVE 5.14. While still holding the key, tum the power on. 5.15, When the display reads: > INITIALIZE ? 5.16. Press: ‘SPEC 0 E 5.17, The display should read: C0 CAL 36° 5.18. Connect the bascline temperature leads on the test cable fo an ohmmeter, Adjust for 15.85 kQ by repeatedly pressing: [pay] OR [ “pp 5.19. Press: SAVE 5.20. The display should read: SOCAL ar 3.21, Adjust for 15.33 kQ by repeatedly pressing: ON OR uP 5.22. Press: SAVE 5.23. The display should read: C.0 CAL 38° 5,24. Adjust for 14.83 kQ by repcatedly pressing: ON OR uP 5.25, Press SAVE 5.26. The display will return to the ready prompt: READY ku tu 5.27. Connect an ohmmeter to the INIECTATE TEMPERATURE LEADS on the lest cable, Sct the INJECTATE TEMPERATURE SWITCH (31) to 20° (up). “Turn the adjustment pot R12 10 both ends to be sure it has a range of < 1 KQ.t0 > 90 k&2, Set the pol to near the center of the rans 5.28. Set the INJECTATE TEMPERATURE SWITCH (81) to 2° (down). Turn the adjusiment pot R13 to both ends to be sure it has a range of < 1 kO2 to = 90 KO Set the pot to near the center of the range. 5.29, Press: BOBPM 5.30, The display should read: ECG BPM 80 5.31. The patient simulator display should indicate the same thing. 5.32, Repeat this for the next 14 keys (160 BPM - VFIB II) 5.33, Press: REVIEW 6 5.34. The display should read: evo 1200400 Note: This setting may be different if the customer has programmed the keys. 5.35. Press: CLEAR 6, INITIALIZATION 6.1. All production units need to be initialized if they come through the test department, customer units should only be initialized if they rave # complaint about the operation which may be cleared up by initializing the unit 6.2. Initialize keys 6.2.1. Depress and hold: SAVE 82699 6.2.2. While still holding the key, turn the power en. 6.2.3. Afier the display reads: “TINTTIALIZE 7 624.
