little more specialized.
You will have about 6 minutes to listen to the
dialogue and answer the six questions that follow.

STRATEGY #1
Relax and listen.
Don’t spend time worrying about a word or a sentence you missed,
because then you will stop listening to what is being said.
Remember: You are not expected to understand every word.
Focus on the entire story.
Try to understand what is happening; why, when, and where it is
happening; and who is involved.

STRATEGY #2
Try to understand the complete meaning of the statement.
◦ Recognize common phrases used in everyday situations.
◦ Listen carefully for negatives because they completely change the meaning of
the phrase.

REMEMBER:
Recognizing key words in the answer choices doesn’t make that
answer correct.
