2. You have three hours to to solve the 6 problems in the mock. However, you
are under no surveillance and thus, you may attempt the paper in whatever
time duration you want.
3. You may PM your solutions at Jupiter is BIG and NKT2923 for gradation.
4. Enjoy the problems and be honest to yourself.
Problems
Below is the 2nd set of 6 problems which traveled around 365 million miles to celebrate the
150th Gandhi Jayanti, and also to challenge you all (especially the pros of India).

Problem 3. In a 4ABC, let ∠A 6= ∠B and ∠C = 30◦ . On the internal angle bisector of ∠BCA,
consider the points D and E such that ∠CAD = ∠CBE = 30◦ . Consider the point F on the
perpendicular bisector of AB, on the same side as C related to AB, such that ∠AF B = 90◦ .
Prove that the 4DEF is equilateral.

Problem 5. Let, at least 24850 squares of a 2019 × 150 board be colored red. Call a rectangle
to be chromatic, which has the four corner squares colored red. Prove that the board has a
rectangle (formed by the horizontal and vertical lines of the board) which is a chromatic one.
Problem 6. In a 4ABC, let D, E, F be the feet of the altitudes from the vertices A, B, C,
respectively. Let H be the orthocenter of 4ABC; M be the midpoint of the segment AH; and
N be the intersection point of the lines AD and EF . The line through A, and parallel to BM
intersects BC at P . Prove that the line AB bisects the segment N P .
