inscription (referring to the coin's silver composition) directly below the shield on the

variety of the 1977 Princess Joan $10 coin is for both varieties, or for each of them.

Prime Minister Seiger Sealand Arms

The origins of this mintage date to 1978, when Sealand's then Prime Minister,
Professor Alexander G Achenbach and several associates abducted Prince Roy's
son, Michael, as part of an attempted armed takeover of Sealand. Prince Roy re-
took Sealand in a helicopter-led assault and imprisoned Achenbach for several
weeks. Following his release Achenbach returned to Germany and established an
"exile government" which he headed as "Chairman of the Privy Council". In August
1979 he retired "due to health reasons", and annointed as his successor his Minister
for Economic Co-operation - Johannes Seiger. Seiger continues to head the rebel
government to the present day with the titles of "Prime Minister and Head of the
Privy Council". This coin is believed to represent, uniquely, a mintage by a rebel
group within a new country project.

commences with the letters WCE followed by three digits - and a visibly less
lustrous finish on the recessed areas of the design.

Sealand Arms Orca Whale

SLC 008D is the only known Sealand error coin. It was allegedly created when a
number of coins with a trial scalloped edge were minted, and then somehow became
mixed with a regular reeded edge batch. The coin is otherwise identical to SLC
008A.
