is entirely eco-friendly since it does not use any electricity or batteries. The shape (design) of

community in Cebu to make all their products by hand. They are improving the quality of life of
the community by providing skills and regular employment in a factory close to their houses and
let female artisans weave the rattan from their homes.

process to create it is sustainable as well. The raw materials for the product, bamboo & rattan,
are among the fastest plants to grow in the Philippines. The full production is hand-made and no
machineries are used except for the engraving.

loudbasstard wants to spread their love for music to the new generation. The organization is
partnering with the non-profit Sistemang Pilipino in order to provide recorders to gifted music

Hamlet is committed to producing safe and healthy meats that can serve as alternatives to the
processed and artificial meats available on the mass market. The goal is to make these products
highly accessible and within reach for all.

They partner with Gawad Kalinga communities (areas that are traditionally low-income and
underprivileged) in order to create sustainable livelihoods, build skills, and improve working
conditions. Each "hamon" food stall aims to generate enough income to support three families,
and additional profits will be re-invested into community training programs to develop residents
into cooks and business managers. They also invest in educational programs within their partner
communities and offer weekly tutorial sessions for children.

By supporting Hamlet, you also support Gawad Kalinga - an organization committed to

achieving its 2024 goal of ending poverty by providing housing, creating sustainable livelihoods,

Golden Duck is a social enterprise that was established out of the Gawad Kalinga Enchanted
Farm. The organization produces 100% premium duck products from the Philippines.

Products include, but are not limited to:

- GoldenducK Golden Eggs

- GoldenduK duck patties

- GoldenducK Sisig

GoldenducK’s premium line of Golden Eggs are the Philippines’ first food grade coloured
gourmet salted egg. Salted duck eggs are traditionally coloured a bright pink in order to hide the
imperfections on the shell such as cracks or discolorations, but it turns out that the Sudan red dye
used in colourings is carcinogenic. As a solution, GoldenducK uses an all natural turmeric dye to
give their duck eggs a bright yellow hue without compromising health. The Golden Egg also
uses 50% less salt than traditional salted duck eggs.

All ducks are locally sourced, community-owned and raised in partnership with Gawad Kalinga
communities.

What makes it a social enterprise?

GoldenducK proudly works in collaboration with residents of Gawad Kalinga communities in

Bulacan (areas that are traditionally low-income and underprivileged) in order to create
sustainable livelihoods. Their vision is to grow the Pinoy duck market, which has traditionally
been low margin with low revenue, bringing in little profit for duck farmers in the Philippines.
By establishing the duck industry as a profitable key player, GoldenducK hopes to create more
sustainable and profitable livelihoods for duck farmers and rural communities.

In addition to selling gourmet duck products, GoldenducK trains duck farmers on how to breed
their ducks, how to scale up their business, and how to manage their financials - all in an effort to
establish the duck industry as a major force in the Philippine meat market.

The organization emerged out of Gawad Kalinga’s Enchanted Farm, which serves as a village
university, social tourism destination, and incubator of social enterprises. By supporting
GoldenducK, you also support Gawad Kalinga - an organization committed to achieving its 2024
goal of ending poverty by providing housing, creating sustainable livelihoods, and developing

The production of the First Harvest food products is handled by mothers from the Gawad
Kalinga village in Angat Bulacan. Food production, product development and retail sales are all
domains that help provide employment to the socially disadvantaged.

They also contribute to the development of nearby farming communities by only buying locally
sourced products from local farms and markets. By producing high quality products that will
compete with imported brands, they want to improve food security and help increase food
production directly in the Philippines.

First Harvest also reinvests some of their profits into community development. They have a
college scholarship program that helps empower the local youth to become the future business
leaders and company managers of tomorrow.
