Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed
be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy
will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread, and
forgive us our debts as we forgive our
debtors. And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil. For thine is the
kingdom, and the power, and the glory,
forever. Amen.
Call to Worship Isaiah 9:6-7
6 For to us a child is born, to us a son is given;
and the government shall be upon his shoulder,
and his name shall be called Wonderful
Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father,
Prince of Peace. 7 Of the increase of his
government and of peace there will be no end, on
the throne of David and over his kingdom, to
establish it and to uphold it with justice and with
righteousness from this time forth and
forevermore. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will
do this.

O Come, O Come,
Emmanuel

O come, O come, Emmanuel,
And ransom captive Israel,
That mourns in lonely exile here
Until the Son of God appear.
Rejoice! Rejoice! Emmanuel
shall come to thee, O Israel.
O come, Thou Wisdom from on high,
Who orderest all things mightily;
To us the path of knowledge show,
And teach us in her ways to go.
Rejoice! Rejoice! Emmanuel
shall come to thee, O Israel.
O come, Thou Rod of Jesse, free
Thine own from Satan’s tyranny;
From depths of hell Thy people save,
And give them victory over the grave.
Rejoice! Rejoice! Emmanuel
shall come to thee, O Israel.
O come, Thou Day-spring,
come and cheer
Our spirits by Thine advent here;
Disperse the gloomy clouds of night,
And death’s dark shadows put to flight.
Rejoice! Rejoice! Emmanuel
shall come to thee, O Israel.
O come, Thou Key of David, come,
And open wide our heavenly home;
Make safe the way that leads
on high, And close the path to misery.
Rejoice! Rejoice! Emmanuel
shall come to thee, O Israel.
O come, O come, great Lord of might,
Who to Thy tribes on Sinai’s height
In ancient times once gave the law
In cloud and majesty and awe.
Rejoice! Rejoice! Emmanuel
shall come to thee, O Israel.
O come, Thou Root of Jesse’s tree,
An ensign of Thy people be;
Before Thee rulers silent fall;
All peoples on Thy mercy call.
Rejoice! Rejoice! Emmanuel
shall come to thee, O Israel.
O come, Desire of nations, bind
In one the hearts of all mankind;
Bid Thou our sad divisions cease,
And be Thyself our King of Peace.
Rejoice! Rejoice! Emmanuel
shall come to thee, O Israel.
Advent Reading Isaiah 2:1-5

The word that Isaiah the son of Amoz saw concerning

Judah and Jerusalem. 2 It shall come to pass in the
latter days that the mountain of the house of the
LORD shall be established as the highest of the
mountains, and shall be lifted up above the hills; and
all the nations shall flow to it, 3 and many peoples
shall come, and say: "Come, let us go up to the
mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of
Jacob, that he may teach us his ways and that we may
walk in his paths." For out of Zion shall go the law,
and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem
Advent Reading Isaiah 2:1-5
4 He shall judge between the nations, and shall decide
disputes for many peoples; and they shall beat their
swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning
hooks; nation shall not lift up sword against nation,
neither shall they learn war anymore. 5 O house of
Jacob, come, let us walk in the light of the LORD.
.
Advent Reading Matthew 24:37-44

37 For as were the days of Noah, so will be the

coming of the Son of Man. 38 For as in those days
before the flood they were eating and drinking,
marrying and giving in marriage, until the day when
Noah entered the ark, 39 and they were unaware until
the flood came and swept them all away, so will be
the coming of the Son of Man. 40 Then two men will
be in the field; one will be taken and one left. 41 Two
women will be grinding at the mill; one will be taken
and one left. 42 Therefore, stay awake, for you do not
know on what day your Lord is coming
Advent Reading Matthew 24:37-44

43But know this, that if the master of the house had

known in what part of the night the thief was coming,
he would have stayed awake and would not have let
his house be broken into. 44 Therefore you also must
be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you
do not expect.

Grace Flows Down

Amazing grace
How sweet the sound
Amazing love
Now flowing down
From hands and feet
That were nailed
To the tree
Grace flows down
And covers me
It covers me
It covers me
It covers me
And covers me
New Testament Reading Luke 1:39-55
39 In those days Mary arose and went with haste into
the hill country, to a town in Judah, 40 and she entered
the house of Zechariah and greeted Elizabeth. 41 And
when Elizabeth heard the greeting of Mary, the baby
leaped in her womb. And Elizabeth was filled with
the Holy Spirit, 42 and she exclaimed with a loud cry,
"Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the
fruit of your womb! 43 And why is this granted to me
that the mother of my Lord should come to me? 44
For behold, when the sound of your greeting came to
my ears, the baby in my womb leaped for joy. 45 And
blessed is she who believed that there would be a
fulfillment of what was spoken to her from the Lord.”
New Testament Reading Luke 1:39-55
46 And Mary said, "My soul magnifies the Lord, 47
and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior, 48 for he has
looked on the humble estate of his servant. For
behold, from now on all generations will call me
blessed; 49 for he who is mighty has done great things
for me, and holy is his name. 50 And his mercy is for
those who fear him from generation to generation. 51
He has shown strength with his arm; he has scattered
the proud in the thoughts of their hearts; 52 he has
brought down the mighty from their thrones and
exalted those of humble estate; 53 he has filled the
hungry with good things, and the rich he has sent
away empty.
New Testament Reading Luke 1:39-55
54He has helped his servant Israel, in remembrance of
his mercy, 55 as he spoke to our fathers, to Abraham
and to his offspring forever."
.
Words of Assurance Luke 1:49-50
49for he who is mighty has done great things for me,
and holy is his name. 50 And his mercy is for those
who fear him from generation to generation.

O Come All Ye Faithful
By
John  F.  Wade
©  Public  Domain
O come, all ye faithful,
joyful and triumphant,
O come ye, O come ye,
to Bethlehem.
Come and behold Him,
born the King of angels;
O come, let us adore Him,
O come, let us adore Him,
O come, let us adore Him,
Christ the Lord.
True God of true God,
Light from Light Eternal,
Lo, He shuns not the Virgin’s womb;
Son of the Father,
begotten, not created;
O come, let us adore Him,
O come, let us adore Him,
O come, let us adore Him,
Christ the Lord.
Sing, choirs of angels,
sing in exultation;
O sing, all ye citizens
of heaven above!
Glory to God,
all glory in the highest;
O come, let us adore Him,
O come, let us adore Him,
O come, let us adore Him,
Christ the Lord.
See how the shepherds,
summoned to His cradle,
Leaving their flocks,
draw nigh to gaze;
We too will thither
bend our joyful footsteps;
O come, let us adore Him,
O come, let us adore Him,
O come, let us adore Him,
Christ the Lord.
Lo! star led chieftains,
Magi, Christ adoring,
Offer Him incense, gold, and myrrh;
We to the Christ Child
bring our hearts’ oblations.
O come, let us adore Him,
O come, let us adore Him,
O come, let us adore Him,
Christ the Lord.
Child, for us sinners
poor and in the manger,
We would embrace Thee,
with love and awe;
Who would not love Thee,
loving us so dearly?
O come, let us adore Him,
O come, let us adore Him,
O come, let us adore Him,
Christ the Lord.
Yea, Lord, we greet Thee,
born this happy morning;
Jesus, to Thee be all glory given;
Word of the Father,
now in flesh appearing.
O come, let us adore Him,
O come, let us adore Him,
O come, let us adore Him,
Christ the Lord.

Joy to the World
©Public  Domain
Joy to the world the Lord is come
Let earth receive her King
Let every heart prepare Him room
And heaven and nature sing
And heaven and nature sing
And heaven and heaven and nature sing
Joy to the earth the Savior reigns
Let men their songs employ
While fields and floods
Rocks hills and plains
Repeat the sounding joy
Repeat the sounding joy
Repeat repeat the sounding joy
No more let sins and sorrows grow
Nor thorns infest the ground
He comes to make His blessings flow
Far as the curse is found
Far as the curse is found
Far as far as the curse is found
He rules the world with truth and grace
And makes the nations prove
The glories of His righteousness
And wonders of His love
And wonders of His love
And wonders and wonders of His love
