I am the
psychologist with the local Mental Health Service. Today we will be assessing your mental
health and we’ll decide whether we can offer you some treatment. Is that ok?

Patient: Sí, gracias. ¿Cómo me dijo que se llamaba?

Doctor: Si. Mi nombre es Jane Tennat pero puede llamarme Jane.

Patient: Vale, gracias Jane. El médico me derivó hace algunos meses pero la lista de espera era
muy larga. Y para serle sincera, en el último mes mi condición se ha agravado.

Doctor: I’m very sorry, I am aware that the waiting list can be long. Now, you look quite
stressed. Let’s see, can you describe what exactly you have felt during the last month?

Patient: Bueno, a ver si se lo puedo describir. Hay días en los que no siento deseos de
levantarme de la cama. Me siento sin energía, sin apetito ninguno. Y todo empezó desde que
perdí mi empleo, hace ya 4 meses.
