HABANA

El Cuarteto hizo su debut en el XXX Aniversario del Festival de Música

Contemporánea en noviembre 2017. Ganadores del Premio a la mejor
interpretación de la música cubana en el Concurso UNEAC de música
de cámara.

Han participado en relevantes eventos como el Festival ¨La Ruta de

Mozart ¨2018 y 2019 en La Habana (Primer festival donde se interpreta
la Integral de los Cuartetos de Mozart en un solo día) en febrero 2018,
Gala por el Aniversario 70 de la Radio Emisora CMBF en el Teatro Martí
(Abril 2018) , Proyecto ¨Ruta y Andares¨ en la Sala San Felipe de Neri
(julio 2018 ), Festival Mozart-Habana 2018 ,Festival de Música
Contemporánea(2018),Festival Habana Clásica 2018, Homenaje a los
maestros Juan Piñera y Guido López Gavilán , Jornada de Teatro
Callejero en Matanzas, Festival de Música de Cámara 2019 junto al Dúo
Contraste , Proyecto Habana Clásicos junto a Janio Abreu y Denisse
Falcón ,Concierto en Fabrica de Arte Cubano entre otros , donde han
tenido lugar en importantes salas de nuestro país, tales como la Basílica
Menor del Convento de San Francisco de Asís, Teatro Martí, Oratorio
San Felipe de Neri, Sala Ignacio Cervantes , La Iglesia de Paula.

Han estrenado obras y realizado grabaciones de compositores

contemporáneos de Cuba, como el Cuarteto No. 2, de Alfredo Diez
Nieto por sus 100 años de vida; así como de Javier Iha, Michel Fine,
José Víctor Gavilondo, el violinista y compositor Jorge Amado, el
pianista y compositor Alejandro Falcón y el guitarrista y compositor
Orlando Jacinto. Han recibido clases magistrales de los maestros
Michael Dabrosky y Tai Murray (EE.UU), el violista y compositor Yuval
Gotlibovich (Israel) y Joel Pagan (Puerto Rico) los cellistas Thomas
Kauffmamm (Alemán), y el cuarteto Catalyst.
The String Quartet “Habana” made his debut in the XXX Anniversary of
the “Contemporary Music Festival” in November 2017. Wiiners of the
Award for the best interpretatiom of the cuban music in the UNEAC
chamber music competition

Has participated in prestigious events that have resulted in important

rooms of our country, among them: Vermont Festival ¨ The Route of
Mozart ¨ 2018 and 2019 in Havana (first festival of the integral Mozart
quartets in one day) in February 2018, 70 Anniversary of the radio
station CMBF gala at the Martí Theater (April 2018), Rute and Walk
proyect (2018), Mozart Havana Festival 2018, Contemporary Music
Festival 2018, Classic Havana Festival 2018, Tribute to the teachers
Juan Piñera and Guido Lopez Gavilan. Street theater day in Matanzas
Chamber Music Festival 2019 with the performance of Duo Contraste ,
Classic Havana Project with Janio Abreu and Denisse Falcon . Concert
in Cuban Art Factory (FAC).Where they have taken place in important
halls of our country, such as the Basilica Menor of the Convent of San
Francisco de Asis, Teatro Marti, San Felipe Neri Oratory, Ignacio
Cervantes, The Church of Paula.

The Quartet has premiered works and made recordings of

contemporary composers of Cuba, like the Quartet No. 2 Alfredo Diez
Nieto for its 100 years of life, Javier Iha, Michel Fine, Jose Victor
Gavilondo, the violinist and composer Jorge Amado and the pianist
and composer Alejandro Falcón.

The Quartet has received master clases of the teachers Michael

Dabroski and Tai Murray (USA) the violist and composer Yuval
Gotlibovich (Israel) and Joel Pagan (Puerto Rico) the cellist Thomas
Kauffmamm (Alemán), and the Catalyst quartet.
His repertoire covers works from classical music to the Cuban concert
music.
