Arabic Numerals

Arabic numerals, also called Arabic Indo numerals, are the most commonly used symbols to
represent numbers. They are called "Arabs" because the Hispano-Arabs of al-Andalus
introduced them into Europe through their cultural action, although their origin or invention
arose in India.

Números Arábigos
Los números arábigos, también llamados números indo arábigos, son los símbolos más
utilizados para representar números. Se les llama "arábigos" porque los hispano-árabes de al-
Ándalus los introdujeron en Europa a través de su acción cultural, aunque, su origen o
invención surgió en la India.

Roman Numerals
The Roman numerals are written with letters of the Roman alphabet, but originally came from
the Etruscans, who used I, Λ, X, Ψ, 8 and to represent I, V, X, L, C, and M. The Romans took
letters similar to the Etruscan symbols to represent the values. Roman numeration is a
numbering system that was developed in Ancient Rome and used throughout the Roman
Empire.

Los numeros romanos se escriben con letras del alfabeto romano, pero originalmente
provenían de los etruscos, los cuales usaban I, Λ, X, Ψ, 8 y ⊕ para representar I, V, X, L, C, y M.
Los romanos tomaron letras parecidas a los símbolos etruscos para representar los valores. Los
numeros romanos son un sistema de numeración que se desarrolló en la Antigua Roma y se
utilizó en todo el Imperio romano.
