Masood Textile Mills (MTM) is a vertically-integrated textile manufacturing company based
out of Faisalabad, Pakistan with in-house yarn, knitting, fabric dyeing, processing, laundry and
apparel manufacturing facilities. MTM is publicly listed on the Pakistan Stock Exchange. It is
currently the largest knit-wear manufacturer and exporter in Pakistan. MTM is famous for

INTRODUCTION:
Masood Textile Mills (MTM) is a vertically-integrated textile manufacturing company based out
of Faisalabad, Pakistan. Masood Textile Mills is the only textile mill in Pakistan with latest
computerized Barcode System that assures quality in every operation of production from
spinning to packing. Products of each department carry bar coded stickers, which bear all the
details and history of the operations of that product. Hence if any problem is reported, one can
trace back the root of the problem and enable to prevent occurrence of the same in future.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
The objective of this report is that I have placed is to express what I did observed and how I
capitalize the strengths to overcome weakness and remove the threat. It will be difficult for me to
express the whole process and procedures from technical point of view are not as such crucial.
The object of this report that I have placed is to express what I observed and the necessary
measures that can help to capitalize the strengths to overcome weakness and remove the threats.
Masood Textile is one of the largest knitted garment manufacturers of Pakistan. The company is
100% export oriented. U.S.A. and Europe are major markets of Masood Textile. It is a quality
conscious company.The company is ISO 9002 certified. Company’s mission statement is“To be
the world’s best apparel company.

knitwear. They have plants and the extra cost for the production will be low for Masood. And
they also have better market repute.
Threats:
Buyer needs demands changes
Because of the research and development the design and the product of Masood is just
satisfactory as compare to competitors in the globally and they are not fulfilling the demand of
customer.
Political instability
Political instability effects the Masood because of the quota system the company can be restrict
by the government to export.

MTM Spinning is capable of producing more than 35,000 lbs of Combed & Carded ring spun
yarn from 6/s to 40/s count. Spinning is equipped with state of the art machines from Japan, UK
and Switzerland.

lab equipment.

worlds. MTM also takes part in world trade shows for promoting its products.
Promotion is one of the four major important elements. The main promotion tools are
advertising and other country business relationship. MTM should advertise its products not only
in the world trade magazines but also in national industry magazine. The company has to decide
how to set the promotion budget. The appropriate budget approach is to send the company can
afford with respect to its funds and product.
Physical Distribution:
MTM exports its products through two different marketing channels.
Direct Marketing Channels:
MTM directly contact with its customers through mail, telephone, and personal contacts and
sell its products directly to the ultimately buyers.
Indirect Marketing Channels:
When it comes to indirect marketing channel, distribution is made through intermediaries. MTM
exports its products through many agents in some cases. MTM is using different channels of
transportation for the distribution of its products like, ships, airship etc

quite difficult for MTM to beat that prices.

DELIVERY OF EXPORT:
Basically masood offers different modes of delivery depending on customers.
FREIGHT ON BOARD(FOB):
In FOB deliveries MTM is responsible to hand over the shipment to customers forwarding team
according to planned vessel.
DIRECT TO STORE(DTS):
In DTS shipment MTM is responsible to deliver the shipment on stores according to customers
requirement. For that purpose MTM maintain a stock in its US warehouse to timely meet the
needs of customers stores. MTM charge extra for these services.
Products of Masood Textile Mills are cotton/ synthetic fiber yarn,knitted / dyed fabrics and
garments. MTM exports whole of its productsto US, Europe and various other country. Major
portion of yarn are usedin manufacturing process and surplus is exported.Masood Textile Mills

is basically an attempt to identify the areas which need to be improved.
In this era of technology, the “Information” is the key to success in the business. This means that
the successful businessman will be who will have the right information at the right time. This
comment leads to the conclusion that the Information Sharing Process should really be improved.
The overall analysis is indicating that the company’s progress has mainly attained through
dedication of employees. The effectiveness of its management, their willingness to take
advantage of opportunities and face challenges of changing economic picture, this all contributes
to the very much improved and sound position of company. This is really appreciable for the
devotion and hard work of all the employees of the company.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
2. Special incentives should also be given to Head on Eid and on other special days should be
given to the workers.
3. Medical facilities are given in mill but such facilities should also be given to management.
4. Different training courses should be arranged for the up lifting and improving the quality of
work for employees
5. They provide transportation facility to only female employees I think male should also be
provided with conveyance convenience. This will create the easiness for workers and reduce the
wastage of time.
6. There is also a problem of work overload for the employees and it should be control properly
so that the employees are motivated.
7. Employees should be paid extra for the work which they done after working hours.
