In the Syensaya 2019, we watched the film or documentary named Bird of Prey. It is all about teh
conservation of the Philippine Eagle. The name of this show really captured my attention because I love
animals and birds are included here. Although the other people are really noisy, I just focused on it. I was
surprised that the bird showed in the movie was the Philippine Eagle so it also helped me to focus more
on the documentary. The wildlife of the birds was showed in the big screen. It is such a great view in the
shelters of the birds. Well, I am glad that I have watched this kind of documentary but the thing that I
don't know or we don't know what is really about the bird that mentioned in the movie. I just knew that
our Philippine Eagle is endangered so it is very important to give them shelter, food, and love and care.
The good thing is there was a huge forest-like cage of these eagles and in this place they reproduce, and
they breathe in the air of the nature. They are just like an eagle with freedom. But yes, they reproduced
and they only kay eggs 2 times a year so it is not enough to contribute on their population.The experts
put them in this huge cage for them to reproduced because like what did I said before that they are
endangered. I also knew the physical appnance of a baby eagle and it was so cute. There was also a
collection of bones from the eagle and they organized it until become a shape of an eagle. I also knew
the names of the eagles that were mentioned in the movie. They are Matatag, and Tinuy-an. They are
injured so they cannot fly high so the volunteers kept them and take care of them. An injured bird is not
easily healed. They need medications just like us in order to be healthy. I also watched how the
volunteers sacrifice their life in order to give importance of them. One volunteer had to climb the trees
to set-up a camera and it was a success but there are so many bees attacked his face so I think it's not
quite good to climb a tree without protection.In my perspective, this documentary should be required to
watch especially for those in elementary and highschool for them to realize the specie of this eagle.
Overall, I like the movie.I like how they give importance of the eagle and it is very educational which is
truly suitable for us to watch. I am thankful that still there's a people who are bearing care up to today
because without our volunteers, maybe the eagle on our country will just be vanished.
