ABSTRACT
1.FALTA DE LEON
The solar system is the planetary system in which the Earth and other
astronomical objects that revolve directly or indirectly in an orbit around a single
star known as the Sun are located.
The star concentrates 99.75% of the mass of the solar system, and most of the
rest of the mass is concentrated in eight planets whose orbits are practically
circular and pass through an almost flat disk called the ecliptic plane. system
apart from planets such as comets, centaurs and cosmic dust that travel freely
between regions.
If the meteor does not disintegrate completely, every fragment that reaches the
surface of the Earth is called Mercury, the smallest planet in our solar system. It
is simply a little larger than Earth's moon. It is the planet closest to the sun but it
is not really the hottest. Venus is the hottest. Venus looks like a very active planet.
It has mountains and volcanoes. Venus is similar to Earth in size.
The Earth is just a little bigger. Our home, the planet Earth, is a terrestrial and
rocky planet. It has a solid and active surface with mountains, valleys, canyons,
plains and much more. The Earth is special because it is an ocean planet. 70%
of the surface of the Earth is covered by water. Mars is a desert and cold planet.
It's half the size of Earth. Sometimes, Mars is called the Red Planet. It is red
because of the rusty iron in the ground.
Jupiter is the biggest and oldest planet in the solar system. Also, it is a massive
gaseous planet. As for Saturn, it is the second largest planet of the solar system
and the only one with a ring system visible from our planet. On the other hand,
Uranus is the coldest planet in the solar system and also has a ring system.
Finally Neptune is the farthest planet from the Sun and is another gas giant.
Regarding Pluto in 2006, it ceases to be a planet to be redefined as a dwarf planet
because it does not comply with the three conditions that define a planet
according to the IAU (International Astronomical Union).
Finally there is the extrasolar planetary system which is any known or unknown
planetary system, except the solar system. And there is the multiple planetary
system.
