ESPAÑOL1

In Spanish 1,studentsareimmersed in theSpanish language, using engaging, interactive, and silly strategies. In thisway, studentsare plugged into thelanguage, and develop confidencethrough creativity and play. Wetell weekly stories,in theSpanish language, usingtarget grammatical structures and vocabulary. Thesestories alwaystakeadifferent form than I had envisioned becausethestudents help to createthem aswe go.

Post story telling, studentsaregiven aprinted version of thestory, which increasestheir comprehension of thewritten languagebecausethe studentsexperienced thestory first-hand.

Classstoriesthisweek have included colors, classroom objects, personality traits, emotions, and common actions/reactions.Ask your child to read and translatefor you LaManodeMeghan.

I haveposted flashcardsto Quizlet for everythingthat we havelearned so far.
