Wednesday Night
Empowerment Services
Since becoming a Christian, I’ve found
that the mindset of some concerning
Wednesday night is that mid-week service
is not as important as Sunday service.
However, that cannot be further from the
truth. At present, on Wednesdays, more
time is given to dissecting the word, which
can lead to a better understanding. We also
give opportunity for questions and com-
ments as well. Some aren’t able to attend
on Sundays because of various reasons, but
can attend on Wednesdays. Maybe your
church does not have mid-week and you’re
looking for a place where the Word is be-
ing taught, then consider coming to ALC.
Whether you’re a member or not, and this
scenario fits you, let me encourage you to
attend. Bring your children and teens as
well so they can enjoy fun ministry on a
level they can relate to.

T he house was full to help celebrate four years of ministry on April 25th. People were
everywhere. A big thanks to all of you, members and friends, who attended and helped make
that day a success. Dr. Walter Henderson III delivered a powerful anointed word on whose your
representative and the Chariots of Fire Faze Two, Dance and Mime ministry of Virginia Beach,
Chesapeake Virginia area, ministered under the anointing as well. All I’m saying is, if you were not
here, you missed an incredible impartation. We also ordained a deacon and three ministers and
they are: Deacon Chris Parnell, Minister Mary Dixon, Minister Linda Warren and Minister
Camelia Crockett. We believe that this other level of leadership is going to help us serve God’s
people more effectively, and cause increase to this local church body, as well as the universal body.
A Night of Prayer, Praise, & Worship
I began teaching and preaching on prayer, praise, and worship on the first Sunday and, if it’s the
Lord’s will, will finish up on Sunday, May 23th. I discussed the importance of praise, the
purpose of praise and the power of praise. Praise is a powerful weapon that’s available for God’s
people and once we understand that, we will give Him praise more and more. Yesterday, I shared
on worship, and if you were not there, you missed the anointing. People didn’t want to leave right
away, but stayed around to bow before the king, confess their sins to him and enjoy His presence. I
believe it’s only the tip of the iceberg, compared to what we’re going to see in the future. For the
next couple of weeks we will discuss the power and importance of prayer, then on May 28th, at 7
p m, finish the month with an exciting night of prayer, praise, and worship. The intercessors,
ministers, Lady Francise and myself will be praying for that night to be a night to remember. I pray
you will join in with us. Everyone is welcome!
Prayer request cards are now available at the church and will be until the 28th. You may or may
not want to put your name on them, either way is fine. Please fill out your request cards, for
families to be restored, physical and emotional healings to take place, salvations among our lost
loved ones as well and others in our community. Please drop them in the late offering box and
release your faith for them to come to past. God still answers prayer. Prayer still works. Please
mark this date on your calendar now and come expecting to encounter God. If you do not attend
service here, get your request in by email or phone and come on May 28th and join us for a time of
Prayer, Praise, and Worship!
Speaking Engagement:
I will be ministering at Shady Grove Baptist Church, “Friends and Family Day,” on the 4th
Sunday at 1 p m, where the pastor there is Pastor Frank Jenkins. I hope many of you will
attend.
Fathers Day Celebration
W e will be celebrating Fathers Day at ALC on June 20th. Bring your fathers, grandfathers,
sons and husbands. We will take time out on this day to honor all fathers.
