1. INTRODUCCION
El presente laboratorio pretende predecir variaciones en la demanda de un bien, al trabajar con dos variables
cuantitativas podemos estudiar la relación que existe entre ellas mediante la correlación y la regresión. En la
correlación tan solo medimos la dirección y la fuerza de la asociación de una variable frente a la otra, pero
nunca una relación de causalidad. Solo cuando tenemos una variable que es causa o depende de otra,
podremos realizar entonces una regresión.
2. OBJETIVOS
Manejo del SPSS Statistical Package for the Social Sciences programa estadístico informativo
actualmente conocido como IBM SPSS.
Estudiar dos de los coeficientes de correlación mas utilizados como el coeficiente de Pearson y el
coeficiente no paramétrico de Spearman.
Realizar las proyecciones e identificar los mejores modelos que se ajustan
Elaborar informes y conclusiones sobre información requerida
3. MARCO TEORICO
Si tenemos dos variables cuantitativas y deseamos medir el grado de asociación podemos utilizar el
coeficiente de correlación de Pearson. En primer lugar es aconsejable realizar un grafico de dispersión entre
ambas variables y estudiar visualmente la relación entre ellas. Este coeficiente mide asociación lineal y al ser
una prueba paramétrica requiere para su uso que ambas variables tengan distribuciones normales. De no ser
así, debemos utilizar el coeficiente no paramétrico de Spearman.

El coeficiente de correlación de Pearson (r) puede tomar valores entre -1 y 1 de modo que un valor de r
positivo indica que aumentar el valor de una variable también aumenta el valor de la otra , y por el contrario
el valor de r será negativo si al aumentar el valor de una variable disminuye la otra, la correlación será perfecta
si r =-1,1.
Al igual que el coeficiente de Pearson, también podemos utilizarlo para medir el grado de asociación entere
dos variables cuantitativas, sin embargo no es necesario que ambas variables sean normales, e incluso lo
podemos utilizar en variables ordinales. Como todas las pruebas no paramétricas este coeficiente se
construye sustituyendo los valores de las variables por sus rangos o posiciones, si los valores de las variables
fuesen ordenados de menor a mayor. Al contrario de pruebas no paramétricas, si permite construir intervalos
de confianza.
La interpretación de este coeficiente es muy similar al de Pearson, pudiendo alcanzar valores de entre -1 y 1
indicando asociación negativa o positiva respectivamente. Tanto el coeficiente de Pearson con el coeficiente
de Spearman son medidas adimensionales por lo que no poseen unidades.
En el estudio de la relación funcional entre dos variables poblacionales, una variable X, llamada
independiente, explicativa o de predicción y una variable Y, llamada dependiente o variable respuesta,
presenta la siguiente notación:

Donde:
a es el valor de la ordenada donde la línea de regresión se intercepta con el eje Y.
b es el coeficiente de regresión poblacional (pendiente de la línea recta)
e es el error
Suposiciones de la regresión lineal
1. Los valores de la variable independiente X son fijos, medidos sin error.
2. La variable Y es aleatoria
3. Para cada valor de X, existe una distribución normal de valores de Y (subpoblaciones Y)
4. Las variancias de las subpoblaciones Y son todas iguales.
5. Todas las medias de las subpoblaciones de Y están sobre la recta.
6. Los valores de Y están normalmente distribuidos y son estadísticamente independientes.

Consiste en determinar los valores de "a" y "b " a partir de la muestra, es decir, encontrar los valores de a y b
con los datos observados de la muestra. El método de estimación es el de Mínimos Cuadrados, mediante el
cual se obtiene:

en donde d corresponde a las d diferencias que son necesarias para convertir la serie original en
estacionaria, son los parámetros pertenecientes a la parte "autorregresiva" del modelo, los parámetros
pertenecientes a la parte "medias móviles" del modelo, es una constante, y es el término de error (llamado
también innovación o perturbación estocástica esta última asociada más para modelos econométricos
uniecuacionales o multiecuacionales).

sus respectivos análisis por los dos métodos estudiados en el laboratorio, utilizando el IBM SPSS.
