surveillance in high-priority
areas in parts of northern,

primarily from hunter-

Irle School PTO receives grant
Northwest Farm Credit Services is proud to award
the Irle School PTO in Glasgow a $1,000 Northwest
FCS Rural Community Grant.
“Words alone cannot describe the gratitude the Irle
School PTO has for the generous grant from Northwest
Farm Credit Services,” said Irle PTO President Kim
Turner. “The funds will be used to help build an
inclusive playground at the local elementary school.
Children of all physical ability levels, both in Glasgow
and the surrounding communities, will have a safe and
enjoyable place to play.”

Fluffy coming back to Billings
Bah! This is some very exciting news. If you’re not
familiar with Gabriel Iglesias, check out his stand-up
comedy show on Netflix. He happens to be making his
second trip to the Metra in Billings on Saturday, October
26th.

Note to Democrats: if you’re looking for
domestic terrorists, look in the mirror

The San Francisco Board of Supervisors are at it again.
Two weeks ago, they passed a resolution that said criminals
henceforth should be called “justice-involved persons,” so
as not to hurt their tender feelings. Last week, they resolved
that the National Rifle Association is a “domestic terrorist
organization.”
Once again, the left is trying to criminalize speech.
It’s true that, among other activities (like teaching gun-
safety courses), the NRA supports the Second Amendment.
If that makes the 3.5-million member group a terrorist
organization, then so is the U.S. Supreme Court, which ruled
in District of Columbia v. Heller (2008) that the Second
Amendment confers an individual right to keep and bear
arms – a ruling that has never been reversed.
The unanimous resolution of the supervisors charged
that the NRA uses “its considerable wealth and organizational
strength to promote gun ownership and incite acts of
violence.” No evidence was offered to support the later. But
the left doesn’t need facts, just broad assertions unsupported
by evidence. Thus Spake Stupid.
Still, I wouldn’t be surprised if others on the left adopted
variations of this peculiar line of reasoning. Next they’ll
tell us that by promoting gas consumption, oil companies
are inciting degradation of the environment via global
warming. Conservative groups which oppose reparations
are promoting institutional racism and inciting violence by
white supremacists. And so on.
But if the left is really looking for domestic terrorists,
it should look in the mirror. By opposing border security at
every opportunity, Democrats are facilitating infiltration by
foreign terrorists.
In January, presidential advisor Kellyanne Conway
said 3,700 “known or suspected terrorists” (including those
designated Special Interest Aliens from terrorism-supporting
countries like Iran, Yemen, Somalia and Pakistan) were
stopped at the U.S.-Mexico border. Between 2008 and 2010,
1,918 of these SIAs were apprehended at the border.
In September 2007, Steve McCraw, then Texas’ top
homeland security official, told the El Paso Times that
terrorists with ties to Hezbollah, Hamas and Al Qaeda had
been arrested at the border. In 2001, former Mexican national
security advisor and U.N. Ambassador Adolfo Aguilar Zinser
revealed that, “Islamic terrorist groups are using Mexico as a
refuge.”
And in a floor speech on April 3, 2006, then-Senator
Barack Obama observed: “Because we live in an age when
terrorists are challenging our borders, we simply cannot
allow people to pour into the United States undetected,
undocumented and unchecked.” But that’s exactly what his
party is doing now, with sanctuary cities, attacks on ICE,

providing health care for illegals and practically throwing
themselves off a cliff to stop Trump’s border wall.
Another assault on public safety is the Democrats’ war
on law enforcement.
In urban neighborhoods, respect for the police has
hit an all-time low. This summer, we witnessed the sad
spectacles of mobs dousing cops with buckets of cold water
and throwing projectiles at them in New York City, whose
mayor, Bill de Blasio, is notoriously anti-police. (Hundreds
of cops turned their backs on him at a funeral for an NYPD
officer in 2017.)
In Philadelphia in August, six officers were shot trying
to serve an arrest warrant on a career criminal, while a mob
jeered and assaulted them. Instead of denouncing the mob,
Mayor Jim Kenney used the tragedy to push for more gun
control.
Beto O’Rourke blames urban crime (along with
everything else) on “the legacy of white supremacy.” Julian
Castro has his “People’s First Policing” to end “overly-
aggressive” and “racially-discriminatory” policing, with a
series of reforms including restricting when officers can
use deadly force and investigating departments that fail to
meet subjective federal standards, to be set by Castro and his
fellow Democrats.
Senators Kamala Harris and Elizabeth Warren are still
repeating the lie that a cop in Ferguson Missouri shot and
killed an innocent black man in 2014 – in reality, a thug
who’d assaulted and was trying to wrestle his gun away from
him.
A grand jury refused to indict the officer and even
Obama’s Justice Department cleared him of wrongdoing.
Attorney General William Barr characterized the m.o.
of Democratic politicians in a speech to the national Fraternal
Order of Police in August: “Whenever there is a confrontation
involving the use of force by police, they automatically start
screaming for the officers’ scalps, regardless of the facts.”
Fearful of being made scapegoats, all over the country,
police are pulling back – making arrests only when
unavoidable, making the nation – and especially inner-city
neighborhoods – less safe. While the Democrats score points
off law enforcement, public safety takes a hit.
Democrats’ war on domestic energy production is also
an attack on national security. Increasingly, Democratic
candidates are comparing energy companies to the tobacco
industry – pushing a product they know to be toxic, putting
profits before public health.
Washington Gov. Jay Inslee wants a carbon pollution
fee on energy companies. Senator Kristen Gillibrand (whose
presence in the Democratic field will be sorely missed)
demands that fuel companies pay for what she calls climate-
related damage.
When asked by CNN after the Democrats’ Detroit
debate, “Would there be any place for fossil fuels, including
coal and fracking, in a Biden administration?” the former
Vice President responded with a simple “No.” Will we fuel
our factories with solar power and run our cars on chicken
droppings?
There is an estimated 1.3 trillion barrels of recoverable
shale oil and 3 quadrillion cubic feet of natural gas under
American soil. And there it will remain if the Democratic
candidates for president have their way.
We’ll once again be dependent on Middle Eastern oil
which will send prices soaring and swell the coffers of foreign
terrorist groups.
A number of prominent Democrats are goose stepping
in time with the storm troopers of ANTIFA. Congresswoman
Debra Haaland (D., N.M.) called ANTIFA goons rampaging
in Portland, Ore. “peaceful protestors” and declared
that President Trump was once again siding “with white
nationalists” in condemning them.
When he was deputy chair of the DNC, Minnesota
Attorney General Keith Ellison posted a picture of himself
posing with “ANTIFA: The Anti-Fascist Handbook,” saying
it would “strike fear in the heart” of the president. Though,
in fairness, a number of Democrats, including Biden, have
rejected our homegrown brownshirts.
When the San Francisco supervisors call the NRA a
“domestic terrorist organization” – while ignoring their
party’s complicity in undermining U.S. security – it represents
a disconnect from reality stunning to behold.
Tony Bennett’s City by the Bay is now known for piles of
human feces lining the streets, thanks to the city’s refusal to
deal with homelessness. The supervisors’ resolution smearing
the NRA is a different pile of poop.
